Thread: What strap for my Dreadnaught Voyager?

What strap for my Dreadnaught Voyager?

I have been lucky enough to get hold of my all time favourite watch, which doesn’t disappoint, apart from the bracelet! I’m not a massive bracelet fan anyway, but I honestly think it cheapens the overall look of the watch, so I’m on the hunt for something that will really suit it. I could just stick it on a quality nato, but want something that will really complement the watch.

I would be very grateful for some ideas, and pictures would be even better.

    Thanks in advance,

    Steve

Whatever you choose buy a bottle of Loctite for the strap bars. I was lucky to spot this in time . . .

    PS. Loctite 222.

After my near miss above, and having securely fixed the bars, I decided on a Nato only policy for this watch and have a selection, although they are swapped between the Voyager and Everest. Before this it was either the supplied rubber, as above, or a Hirsch Liberty, in the final picture.

The Haveston in post #8, also shown at the bottom in my group shot, is the Fortress. This is the usual 2 piece style of Nato, Havestons are all now a one piece "RAF" or "pass through" style. The Fortress is a thicker material which suits the watch perfectly, so if you fancy it grab one as they still had some left last time I looked. What sets Haveston apart is their sliding keeper, which means no loose end tucked under and a cleaner less bulky profile. I put some measurements and pictures in a different thread, posts #21 and #27 here https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...light=Fortress

I had mine on a hirsch curved end black leather with orange stitch and it was a perfect match, transformed the watch

Hirsch Robby for me - great match, though not a terribly cheap option. Inspired by Phil's contribution below:

I wear mine on one of Eddies black and orange NATOs as Ralphy showed.

    Works well.

In addition to what my esteemed friend says, the material I find most comfortable on the Haveston Fortress. We may never see it again, I’ve even been contemplating to buy another as a spare!

Love the look of the Hirsch Robby, and think it might look rather good, but have pulled the trigger on a Haveston Fortress, as I am a bit of a sucker for nato.

Put mine back on bracelet the other day and much prefer it. I think the strong lugs suits the bracelet more. Now wearing it more often than when it was on a strap
