Sorry to hear this Eddie. Thanks for doing the one and only right thing, which is worth waiting for and will allow my Credit Card to cool down a bit.
Frustrating, but the right thing to do. Hope it's not a huge delay Eddie.

Sorry to hear this Eddie. Thanks for doing the one and only right thing, which is worth waiting for and will allow my Credit Card to cool down a bit.
You made the right decision Eddie :thumbright: even if it's frustrating.
Now I will be on holidays from next Friday and from a personnal point of view I just hope the watches won't come back before end of July :D

Just echoing what everyone else Eddie, its no fun but this has to be fixed.
That said, I don't think I can face another week like the last one. My own fault but I ended up spending far too much time checking progress on the watch when I should have been working. I've had time to reflect on that over a weekend away and it's something I won't be repeating, mostly because it was no fun at all. The problem is that with the "top" movement the first 50 are a Limited Edition in everything but name and everyone wants to be in on it. There are probably 150+ people chasing 50 watches.
My view, for what its worth, is that to preserve our sanity and to enhance your customer service, we all need a list. Doesn't matter how it’s arrived at and who is on it, so much as the thing exists.
And I especially asked to get an early shift, even if that's not my strong point  .
Well, can't say much more than good luck to you Eddie.
The waiting will make the piece even more desirable I reckon.
Pfffff, 06:30am on my bicycle...............
Cheers,
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
From what I can tell, there has been a list for the SB III since 24th May 2007.Originally Posted by raysablade

but bear in mind that it was not an Eddies list - so it is a form of our

I stopped updating it some time ago but it was clear that there was a
huge interest:
bear in mind that there were other members as well who wanted to be on the follow-up-list.Originally Posted by walkuere

Oh balls. but you are right to do this.
Also - it's a really good picture that one (apart from the numbers..) and it looks awesome, i'll be trying to get one.
And a bracelet.Originally Posted by Luso
Disappointing and frustrating all round but 100% the correct decision.
I doubt I would have ever noticed if hadn't been pointed out but it's one of those things that once you know it's there you can't help but look.
Thanks Eddie, your efforts are much appreciated :)
I'd like to voice my concerns about the list. I think if there is a list, Eddie should be the lead on it and not a forum member - I remember it being drawn up, asking to be added in the thread, but got missed out. I didn't bother paying any more attention to it, as at that stage it wasn't an official list.
If there are plans to move away from a first come first served, I'd say names should be drawn for the first 50. That way I think nobody could complain and everyone has a fair shot.
I know in comparison to many, I'm relatively new here, but just my 2c! :D
PS Great attention to detail and a good decision!
Man, what a bummer. I feel your pain...
Well done Eddie!
Now, as someone else said, if you could take this opportunity to add a little frame around the date...
Cheers!
No thank you! Don't mess with perfection!Originally Posted by patphi

I agree, looks great without the frame, quite stealthy

Thanks for the catch and the update, Eddie.
Better to catch it now than after distribution.

Being a latecomer to this party, I'll only echo the sentiments of all those who came before me: bravo.
As has been said, very good catch and good call. Thanks are due.
This is something that, once noticed, would just niggle at the wearer so that he or she :) is never totally happy with the watch.
I'll certainly be buying one at some stage as soon as able.
Well picked up Eddie! :) That's serious QC.
I was wondering also, about the 'Great Britain' and the distance from the 6 marker and either side to the to separate words. One looks closer than the other. Perhaps this is fine, though it occurred to be that equidistance from the 6 might look for balanced, perhaps.
If it's fine, it looks fine. It's something I happened to notice.
Best regards and best wishes,
AP:)

I hope you have, IMO it makes the Omega SMP GMT dial look nicer then the regular SMP.Originally Posted by swanbourne

Have they given you any idea how long it will take to redo the watches, Eddie?

I've been away on vacation and out of touch for the most part. What a shame about the delay but the end result will be worth it. Now this makes me wonder if these rejected dials will show up on some other knockoffs in the future. I'll have to keep an eye out for them.
Thanks for setting the bar high Eddie.
Rick
if they had not messed up the print we would have not seen the preview pic!
it is a fabulous watch, I LOVE the lume everywhere on the numbers and stick bits, I could not wear the original type48 dial vantage because there was not enough lume and I would not be able to read the time.
This is fab, I think I will need to buy one.
Super!
What a bummer...
Hope they get it right fast.
