I have done this without issue in the US (.com) and mainland Europe (.fr etc).
Hi
Does anyone have any experience of purchasing items on Amazon.com with a UK credit card and having them shipped to a US address (hotel of office) - is this even possible?
I'll shortly be spending some time working in the US and am looking to buy a few items whilst I'm there
thanks

I don't see why not, I infrequently buy off Amazon US with a UK card and ship to the UK. Be no issue to send to a US address, I often buy stuff when in the US and have it sent to the hotel. Just confirm with them how to address it to be doubly sure.
Should be. I have delivered things to different UK addresses. We also have US friends who send Xmas presents to us using Amazon.co.uk to purchase and deliver them.
Another vote for no issue. Did it recently and shipped to a colleague at a business address. Collected when I visited shortly after.
Thanks for all your responses
Leads to a second question - do Amazon add the sales tax applicable for whichever State delivery is to?
I'll be in MA, so I'm assuming +6.25%?
Do this very frequently.
Cant remember if they charge sales tax since shipping out of state
I’ve just checked and I didn’t get sales tax added in Orlando or Houston.

Your UK Prime doesn’t count though so you’ll need to pay postage.

Yep daughter broke headphones while on holiday in Florida, bought replacement on Amazon and delivered to hotel in good time for the flight home.
