Chris, one of my diving buddies is Persian and an importer, I will see if he does carpets and pass his details to you.

The guy who owns this business posts as "Rug Doc" on a HiFi forum I frequent and is highly thought of:

This has my attention. We don't need a carpet, but I really, really like Persian rugs.

Beevers in Whitby have a large selection in their flooring dept and contacts with an importer if you are after something specific.

Chris I know you give your location as N Yorks... Mrs Draft has a house in one of the villages near Bingley where we stay for a bit of the time.

A couple of doors away from the excellent) fish & chip shop on Park Road, Bingley is a typical sweet/paper shop. Being the good stepdad one time I volunteered to get some chocolate for my favourite stepdaughter so walked in, and happened to glance into the side room, full of hand woven kilims at very keen prices. Afghan not Persian, but if you find yourself in that part of Yorkshire worth a look.

That evening I told my stepdaughter that her bar of chocolate had cost me more than £300. 😀

We’re overseas at the moment but I’ll ask favourite stepdaughter to find his phone number.

    Ain’t no denyin’

I had to follow The Missus around Liberty’s (again) recently and stumbled across their Persian rug department. There were a few staff having a chat and I was obviously not ‘flamboyant’ enough to warrant their attention. I then looked at the price tags and realised that I am a lot less rich than I am flamboyant! Just for the record, I am not flamboyant at all! 😁
