Surely they can arrange better pictures??
Hilarious! Thames Valley Police selling a Rolex on eBay and saying they don't know if it's real or not! That's contrary to eBay listing rules and I thought it was illegal to sell counterfeit goods!

"This item is believed to be genuine but we have not had this verified. It would be up to the successful purchaser to establish this"
EDIT: For what it's worth, I'll say fake. The date doesn't look right for a start.

Looks about right for a mid size 29mm 169622, the date it looks odd since it’s looks significantly bolder relatively to your typical 40mm YM.
Though that’s not really the point, gotta agree it’s ridiculous for thr police to potentially auction of a counterfeit.
They've said they believe it to be genuine. That's the same as most others.
Thats unbelievable!
Reported to eBay.
If they don’t know if it’s genuine they should not be selling it.
It has 14 day returns policy so time for a buyer to authenticate or otherwise.
Looks absolutely genuine to me. The bolder date print is normal on some of the smaller watches
You can’t do that on eBay though. The “but ...” is an ‘authenticity disclaimer’. You can report similar under the heading: “The listing has wording that questions the authenticity or legality of an item”.
Not sure the Police would accept “I believed I was driving at the speed limit!” as a defence!!
in the absence of any clue where the “belief” came from, not sure it counts for much.
I wonder if anyone would be brazen enough to do a switcharoo. Buy it (and it turns out to be authentic), switch it for a fake and scold the police and give it back
If such disclaimer was 'legal' according to ebay rules, then it would be a wonderful opportunity for fraudsters! Just say you 'believe' its genuine but can't be sure and you'd be in the clear! Crazy!
Like eBay give a shit, just pay the fees and they’ll be happy.
"This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing"
