Wow, what an amazing collection.
The link below is not a patch on that collection, but it's an interesting photo with 600 whisky's and 8370 mega pixels.

Was sent to my local Tesco today to pick up some groceries and I was amazed at the range of good malt whiskies with decent price cuts. Tis the season to be merry right enough! I shouldn't really buy whisky in shops, I get it free from my employer, but I couldn't resist an Aberfeldy 12 year old for only £25.
Just had a nice little Christmas bottle given.
Should last me to New year

I dare not bring my collection out incase my girlfriend sees how much I have and says there is no space for more
Just arrived all the way from Portugal.
It's just crazy to think that Inc delivery it was still cheaper than just buying it here in the UK.
Dinner done.
First argument done. (Wife / daughter)
Peace on Earth.
I’m cracking this open then having a nap.
Merry Christmas all.
BTW - It’s delicious.

Just about to open one of these from the most polarizing of the Islay distilleries.

This is a challenger to the title right now. Jim Murray had it as his whiskey of the year and I can taste why
RIAC
Last of the penultimate Glendronach 18 (24) bottle with Jules Hootenanny.
HNY all.
Had my first ever Lagavulin over the break - easily my new favourite!
The current SOTWC...

Most of current malts
2 unlabelled are from my own cask of Springbank-opened one at 20 yrs and unopened at 24 yrs-it would put hairs on your chest.
Not for me but Amazon have the Red Breast 21 on sale £129.99 this looks to be the cheapest they've had this since 2018
Good shout in the redbreast it's my favourite Irish whiskey.

Which one would that be? Love Ardbeg but one of the pricer Islays.

Just ordered another bottle of GlenDronach 18 (only half way through the first, though) and my first ever Bunnahabhain, the Eirigh Na Greine.
I'm hoping that the GlenDronach will be another 24 and the Bunna will sit next to an Irish Mitchell & Sons Green Spot Ch. Léoville Barton that has also spent some time in red wine casks.
Should be with me on Friday, if so I'll post a whisky SOTC.
All,
I'm really enjoying the Laphroaig 10. I love the peaty taste.
Has anyone got any similar peaty recommendations please.
Best regards,
Ben
The Lagavulin 16 as already suggested is a very popular choice, if you're looking at a similar price range to the Lap 10 though wait until your local supermarket has Bowmore 12 on offer - no point paying full price as Tesco usually has it on sale every other month or so. According to Sainsbury's website they have Ardbeg 10 on offer right now, that's another worth trying. Don't bother with Laphroaig Select that's often seen on supermarket shelves, it's not a patch on the 10.
I'd also recommend buying a new bottle before you finish your Laphroaig, doing it that way allows you to try two different whiskies of the same theme back to back. You'll start to get a feel for the subtleties and build up a picture of what you like and dislike.
According to Bunnahabhain's own site it translates to "mouth of the river" and "morning sky", so close enough!
I'm not fully up to speed with their whiskies TBH however I think I'm correct in saying that most of their bottlings aren't peated, Bunna's own tasting notes certainly don't pick out peat/smoke for the one I chose, anyway. I'm happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.
I'm not sure if I've tried an unpeated Islay before and it's only the second ever red wine cask whisky I've bought after the Green Spot, I'm looking forward to giving it a try!
I'm a big fan of green spot.
Interesting how they translate that. Bun means bottom and abahain means river so I can see how you could get the kiutbof the river from that. But eirigh means to rise and grein means sun. In any case it's their whiskey they can call it what they like.
It sounds amazing. I'll keep an eye out for it.
