Agreed on that, but of the two I’d prefer the original Overseas. It also reminds me a little of VC’s Phidias, generally considered a bit of a misfire on the journey from 222 to Overseas. Apparently the Phidias dates from the 90s, but feels firmly stuck in the 80s. The 80s always strikes me as a difficult decade for watches, and fashion in general, though it gets the odd fond revival.

I have tried the Alpine Eagle and found it too flamboyant for my tastes, though it certainly feels like quality. Surprisingly bi-metal suits it well. As for the brand, I quite like them.

There's a nice review of the LUC GMT here: https://www.ablogtowatch.com/chopard...-watch-review/

I have a Time Traveller One that I really like. The attention to detail on the dial is amazing - great typography, funky dashes of orange, interesting concentric circle design, I love it...

...that said, I'm mulling over selling it

I watched Underground 6 the other night. Normal Micheal Bay nonsense, but was surprised to see Chopard well represented. Ryan Rennolds was sporting a rather nice grey dialled watch.

Nice watches, good quality, but has similar residuals to used Fiats.

Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.

I tried it on a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it's too big for me, but I absolutely loved it! I'm sure you will regret selling it.

In my opinion one of the best watches they ever made, I'd love another .
