It's been great. I've had it almost four years and I've had no trouble with it whatsoever. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another Rocket when the time comes.
I seriously thought about the Silvia when I was researching. By coincidence, in my boredom I was watching a review of the Silvia on youtube yesterday and I could see why the extra investment in something like mine made sense.
I like my coffee, but all this kit to me looks like hard work especially when you've just woken up 😁.
I was round at a mates house and he'd just spent £400 on this fancy German machine with pipes and dials all over the place.
He made a coffee for me which seemed to take ages and when ready I thought it was ok, but no better than my Bialetti using Aldi Columbian ground coffee, which takes me a couple of minutes on the induction hob.
Maybe it was his brewing technique, I don't know 🤔
The build quality of the Rocket looks to be far superior.
The functionality of the HX system for the steam looks way better - no need to temperature surf, and you can brew and steam simultaneously.
And, of course, the Rocket looks way more impressive. It's a real feature in the kitchen - a big taking point when anyone visits.
