Huawei P40 Pro - Good idea or bad?

So today is upgrade day and I was very keen on the P40 Pro, I have the P20Pro currently and the reviews on the 30 Pro are excellent.

So has anyone got one?
Is there a major issue with no Play Store?
How have you got around it?
Will Google finally give up and allow Huawei to have access again?

I went from the P20 Pro to P30 Pro and now Samsung S20 Ultra. I did so because of the Google issue but I kind of regret it. I mainly update as my contract allows to get better cameras and yes the Ultra was an improvement. But in nearly all other areas - useability, battery life, fingerprint unlock etc the P30 Pro is better and that is probably the way I would lean until the Google sanction issue is resolved.

The phone is top notch. As for the google situation, there are work arounds that allow google to be installed...see vid below. It is a bit of a faf though.
