First bronze watch, love the dial. Interested to see how the patina develops.

The upper crown can be used to turn the slide rule bezel and the compass.

A new arrival this week sadly our kids and not mine but I got to have a good look and a play this morning after he'd opened it.

It is a 'Raden' dial whereby the Urushi lacquer dial has mother of pearl shards sliced and placed on it. Very Japanese - the kind of thing you see on Japanese fountain pens. Only 6.5mm thick also

Is the brand name on the underside of the crystal, looks elevated off the dial, casting a shadow effect?

Can’t complete with the Credor, but this is my latest. Interestingly a little research tells me it’s the older pre 2017 model without ‘Aquis’ on the dial, but was purchased new only yesterday.

First Oris diver I’ve had. Bit of a big beast. Feels indestructible, am loving the green.

Stowa Flieger. Delighted as bought in their 'used and checked' sale last months. Looks pristine. Love the legibility of the dial

I had one of those. It was 36mm. Lovely watch but not enough distinction between the hour and minute hands for my admittedly poor eyesight.

Very nice I was very tempted by one of these when looking for a manual wind recently
I'd already purchased my Panerai before the Stowa offer came up otherwise I would have definitely gone for one

Omega Seamaster (ref 210.30.42.20.04.001). Just arrived this morning, glad I was WFH.

Every bit as lovely as the web photos would have you believe. I might get the black rubber at some point just so I can have a change every now and again but the bracelet is very comfortable and with the micro adjustment it can cope with hotter and cooler days.

After many years of disregarding Vostocks, I have now joined the club and appreciate their value for money and the fun factor. I know many buyers start with an Amphibian but I decided that I'd first try the Komandirskie, on the basis that I have a cushion cased diver in the form of my Seiko Turtle. Once I'd navigated the bewildering range of cases, dials and bezels at Meranom, I ended up buying this model which is the KOMANDIRSKIE SUBMARINE at 40mm, model number 2414/811289.

It wears slightly smaller than it's 40mm. The bi-directional bezel is not loose and still useful for timing. The idea of a hand winder appealed, as I enjoy keeping them running especially as if in these days of semi-lockdown, I don't leave the house that often. The fit and finish is much better than I'd anticipated, being more solid than several other more expensive watches I've had - from Timex and Marathon for example. I actively like plexi crystals which I personally rate above mineral glass, given that while they're easier to scratch, they're easier to polish. I'm currently checking the time keeping, with initial results suggesting around +20s a day, which for the price is not at all bad. Overall I'm enjoying the 60s vibe that the case profile, plexi and hand-winding give off.

As everyone says, the accompanying leather strap is awful, so I bought a matching Haveston blue Parade NATO for the watch which has an 18mm lug gap. The strap nearly cost as much as the watch, which at €37.50 inc. delivery was great value. Shipping took less time than they advertised at only 9 days to arrive.

I'll give it a couple of months but I expect I'll buy an Amphibian to join the collection.

Not having bought a watch for some time, it's a great feeling looking at the wrist and getting that new watch feeling. And of course a Vostock proves that you don't need to spend a bucketful of cash to enjoy the hobby.

A modified Retangula 6105-8000 homage added to the collection with proof dial. I can see Seiko building a 6105-8000 homage one day....well maybe.

Thanks Tony, I remember you having a De Luca and thinking that it was a lovely watch, and it is. There is something charming about it, it just feels "right", hard to explain.

My local AD in Belfast had a Daytona like this one a few years back and i fell for it then when i tried it but at the time couldn't afford it and as importantly had nothing that i could trade for it. This one appeared and a deal was struck, i just love the dial.

Always liked these and good ones are rare. I've been close to buying two Mkii versions but they were both just not right and a little too worn. Lovely to see another on the forum and, to my mind (and wallet), the nicer of the two!

    New arrival

    Hello

Allways have had feelings for fixed lugs and finally pulled the trigger.

Didnt want to start testing with Patek so went with Italian style first :D

I really like it, really something fresh for a long time.

This is solid chunk, with AR:ed Sapphire and Seiko Meca-Quartz inside.

Offcourse these type of watches are not for everyones liking, but Im sold, big time.

A tentative enquiry a couple of weeks ago, followed by a phone call yesterday and this is now on my wrist!

I’d actually said I’d take it on the fabric strap but when I got to the AD I had the choice of either. A no-brainer to pay the couple of hundred quid extra for the bracelet and order the fabric strap separately.

I was almost expecting to be a bit ambivalent and turn the watch down if I’m totally honest. I have the original BB58 and love it. While I’d really liked the blue on launch, some of the reviews had made me think I wouldn’t be happy with it when I saw it for real. In the metal though, it’s stunning! Photos really don’t do it justice.

The only problem is that I think I’m going to have to sell a watch to make room for this one (and keep my marriage in a good place!).

I've looked at these more than once - usually after looking at Octo Finissimos / Finissimi [?] and concluding those are only 10 times what I can afford! Looks great I must say

Recent arrival from SC. I’d previously had the silver dial but this darker faced version has a whole new level of variety depending on the light. Chuffed.
