That's rather good. Every time I hear that song now......
James T. at his best I think!
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
That made me smile, thanks for posting OP!

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I agree, I prefer it to the original. I'm in two minds of the fact he messes up the pregnant pause in "but she didn't... understand" in that it misses the double meaning, but on the other hand, it's so ironic that William Shatner of all people would do that, that it kinda works as a meta-joke.
Decided I need to listen to more Shatner covers. Most of them aren't all that great though. I've had them on random on Spotify before. A bit of an acquired taste mostly, but this one is just one of those rare confluences that just works perfectly in every way.
The video was a good laugh too. One thing I didn't recall from ST:TOS is Quentin Tarantino playing an alien bass guitar thingy. Anyone know what episode that's from?
My daughter bought me "Seeking Major Tom' a while back. There are some entertaining tracks for sure but also some that are not bad in a good way, just bad.
Its the sort of CD I like to put on during a long car drive.

Even better than the mighty Sex Pistols when he sang the first few lines of God Save the Queen on HIGNFY.
Joe Jackson is brilliant at making the Common People duet with Shatner work:-

His live shows used to be amazing,
Another great "Has Been" track is "That's me trying"
