    That’s a serious beer Z! A tasty one too.

Did you get their stout? It’s nice and robust.

I’m on alcohol free beer tonight (well, 0.5%). Big Drop Brewery. Nice too.

Tonight I’ll mostly be drinking Corncrake Ale from the Orkney Brewery Company. Lovely stuff.

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

A weekend in Düsseldorf is proving refreshing...

And when in Germany, I thought it right to bring the Sinn 857UTC.

I really must get around to ordering some of that from Adnams. I agree about black lager being underrated, I wish there was more about. Had a lovely one on my last trip up the Toon just before lockdown . . .

It’s a little sweet but it’s a nice beer to finish on. It needs to be served ice cold in my opinion.

Went for a Sunday Slurp yesterday. No dark beers on at the moment as reduced footfall and limited numbers means it wasn't selling quick enough. However one of my favourites made a welcome return . . .

Mmmmm beer. What beer are we drinking tonight?

Went for a walk along the Thames.
Thames Side Brewery open on the way back.
Takeaway only - in 2 pint milk bottles.
So I’m sitting outside the brewery by the Thames with 2 pints of IPA

And it’s owned by the nasty folk at Heineken too.

That said, given Tim Taylor’s are trying to screw small breweries now as part of the SBRDC they can shove their cheap Landlord too.

FYI Adnams have free delivery this weekend (ending midnight Sunday) with the code BANKHOLS.

I had a few cases the other week of my old favourite Tally Ho, Blackshore Stout and the mixed box of Jack Brand beers all rather nice

With a tag line of ‘Because Beer Matters’ it’s hard not to like this brewery.
Quite light for 8% with a pineapple tang to it. A good end of day beer...

Absolutely quality boozage this week gents, jealous of magirus’ excellent cask episodes.

TFIFriday and this ones raised to you all and your good health!

Last night I inhaled these two and a Brewdog Clockwork Orange IPA...

Couple of Double IPA’s incoming shortly...

Just one of the reasons I started home brewing again a few months back after a 25 year hiatus. Works out well under a pound a pint and the beer tastes great these days compared to when I last did it.

To the Vic, where I started on Swedish Blonde, and when that went off it was on to the Big Lamp Bitter. Twixt the beers I had a good craic with tvralan who is having a few days in the Vic's B&B and we compared Omega, Damasko and Haveston. Thanks for the pint Alan, my shout next time!

Good to catch up again Bob.
Damasko quality is impressive, I'll have to keep an eye out for one on sc!
Back down south now so its Leffe blond for me today. All the best.

Still contemplating a PD, but ordered a few Trappist & Monk beers along with a few more to keep me interested.

First time trying Jaipur, very impressed. Kwak has been my favourite so far, lovely depth of flavours & could really taste the flavours suggested on the label. Just wish it wasn’t as strong!

Contemplating how dangerous that would be having it on draft with the PD though!

They really are very good, you can take the barrel out at the end of the evening and pop it back in the fridge.

    Working up to this

Broke last night, ordered before the 10% discount on the machine ended.

Went for 1 kwak, 1 leffe & a Shelby (ordered a bottle & liked it as a session beer)

Can't wait to get it now; hadn't though about the removing & returning to the fridge - assume for mix vs extending the 30 days life?

Are nucleated glasses really worth it all? A friend has ordered me 2 kwak glasses with stands, amazed at the price to be fair, mental!

Want some generic glasses that work for all beer, cannot be bothering with all the branded stuff; a decent tulip glass etc, already got some flavourly glasses which I love the shape of, just want them minus branding. LSA are always predictable, any other recommendations? Beers of Europe search bar seems to struggle with 'plain' returning many branded ones.

Wife less impressed, but she will get over it lol

Good man, you won't regret it.
    Hadn't thought about rotation.
I work my way through a barrel in about a week (if I'm thirsty 3 days!)
My wife wouldn't allow me to keep 2 in the fridge anyway. I have Leffe glasses that do keep the head longer but any glass will do. The display showing how much beer is left is really accurate too.

I was planning on having weekend only drinks from it, as otherwise I will be fat & broke!

Wine is my weekday treat, with beer being a weekend one; usually pub related, but there are some occasions where I really want a good beer without going out.

Choice of beer is great, prefer the blade visually but too restrictive on drinks. Kwak on draft might be a 'uni friend visiting' choice, as am sure my wife won't be impressed with snoring!
