It looks like the printing has been torn by punching the hole for the pip. Tbh I only noticed it when I uploaded the massive photo, I can’t actually see it with the naked eye.

Possibly the last Seiko 7A38 I may ever buy ....

Because it finally completes my collection of every one of the 85 or so variants that Seiko produced.
My very recently acquired NOS condition 7A38-714A SAA049J.

In-house movement, great size, comfortable on the wrist, lovely matt blue bezel and dial, it can only be a Tudor BB Navy Blue...

    ... or maybe not

    Cheers

Thanks Guys. It's only taken me 11 years to complete 'the set' !

Funny thing is, I first saw a 7A38-714A listed on eBay as far back as July 2009. Not the best of examples ....

Decided I'd hold out for a decent example without the usual worn black chrome plating.
Saw this one, owned by an Italian collector almost 5 years ago and made a mental note.

End of last month, he decided to start thinning out his collection, by selling off a few Seiko 7Axx's. Luckily for me, I got wind of it.

Had the house to myself for the first time since lockdown, it felt a bit strange. I particularly missed playing Lego during my tea break.

    Enjoy your weekend.
