I think this is my favorite version of the Carrera I have seen; really a striking watch visually, with fantastic lines (and some eye-catching splashes of color which I love). Sounds like you got a great buy on it, too. Enjoy!

My extended period of wanting a reassuring lump of an auto on my wrist seems to have passed, but the desire for one of these, which had been lurking within me for 7 years, hasn't....
I'll be very glad to be going back to having a manual wind watch as my daily wearer, not least because they don't mind whether you wear it or not, so long as you're winding it.
Berrys have a 20% off Nomos offer on at the moment, so they're ordering this in for me, I'll have at least a couple of weeks wait. I'm getting the solid caseback 35mm version, just 6.2mm thick. Also, thankfully, they're getting me it on the brown strap, which on the Nomos website looks more like an additional item than a standard option.
Bargain buy on eBay, a different look for me but I really like it

Just arrived and I'm blaming someone here for luring me in to Brellum with some lovely photos. I'm very chuffed.
It was - broken into last summer while on holiday and they had the lot apart from the one I was wearing. I managed to spot one of the stolen ones on eBay and the police managed to catch up with one of the scrotes while he still had 4 of them, it's just taken them forever to process them and then Covid meant they couldn't return them.

That looks massive, but I’m assuming it’s the angle of the photo (or you like big watches). Enjoy.
a little from column A, a little from column BIt is a big watch and the camera makes it look bigger but once on the wrist there’s no overhang of the lugs over my wrist (despite them being relatively slim wrists). It is a touch bigger than the 39mm Royal Oak Chrono it supplements and will take some getting used to (again) but I love the offshore range from AP and wanted another in my collection.
Oh, and I’ve put it back on the rubber for a while now

I got mine from Meranom, ordered it on Monday and paid for UPS delivery and it arrived Friday. They are out of stock now.
I've just ordered the mesh bracelet from them to see if I like it.
I really like it on the Pepsi bezel, I never had a Pepsi bezel before so fancied getting one but I'm now thinking of 24 hour Pepsi bezel would be nice.

Congrats! Looks great.Decided that a BB58 was the watch for me at the start of the year, to replace a much loved but very sick SK013. Waited to see if there going to be new colours - while the retro 558 is lovely, if had a choice id have gone for something in my favourite colour - blue. The April launches were all cancelled so figured id put my name down for a BB58. Waited a while but only got offered ones on leather or NATO. Then the Blue finally got annouced - asked around to but put on the list for that mostly got laughed at! Two regular BB58s were offered, but I passed as id rather hold on for the one I really wanted. I passed them onto other WIS of this parish and it seems the karma counted for something as I got the call saturday to ask if I wanted a blue one. Turns out they had been phoning people for a good 40 mins but i was the first that answered. Now on my wrist and its not coming off for a while!
I like my Black BB58 and prefer the warmer tones over the cooler tones of the blue. But it wears well on you!

Yep totally agree, fantastic size at 37mm with the short lug to lug, the case and dial look way higher quality than the price suggests. The lume is ace, and you’re getting an in house movement which is nice even if it is a bit of a relic! The bracelet is more fitting with the price, but I like it - it’s pretty light and jangly but combined with the size and design it gives a bit of a vintage feel to the watch. I’ve got the black one on order from Jomashop👍
