I predict a meltdown. Either TZ-UK, Timefactors.com, or the payment service that Timefactors uses, or any combination of these. It ain't gonna be pretty, whatever it is   :D
If only I know which day of the week it is going to be released, I will camp outside Eddie's shop the night before :toothy2:
Lol, that will not get you a numbered SB3! :POriginally Posted by satosatomi
Not a bad idea, actually.Originally Posted by satosatomi

Which page will tell us they are ready for sale? I am working in Italy next week so I've no idea how I'll keep track of this, but knowing where to look should help a bit!Originally Posted by swanbourne
Keep an eye on the forum, if you can - I'm sure there will be a couple of posts about the release!
My otherhalf has agreed to take turn monitoring the forum :computer: :D
Wow, that's a very considerate other half!! I usually buy, secretively wear and then "out" the new watch about six months later - she just doesn't understand me!!! :roll:Originally Posted by satosatomi

Oh I think she probably does David :) - its a common SWMBO ruse that I'm sure we are all familiar with....keep the 'new' purchase under wraps for a while and then truthfully proclaim that 'its not new, I've had it for ages!'Originally Posted by DJG
Another good one is the "£50 shoes" con. She means £50 EACH!
Anyway I've already got the necessary points as Mrs P was shopping in London yesterday and spent £300 on shoes (Ok there were six of them, but they are only little... )

That's ok then, I thought it was just me!!! The best ruse was when I told her that my newly aquired Jaeger leCoultre vintage Memovox was an heirloom left by my Grandad - one of the better things about her complete indifference to my watch obsession is that I can get away with all kinds. To her, a watch just tells the time -they are all the same!!!

I've decided to let my brother handle the allocation for this one. That's my brother [s:3vrusjp9]the serial shagger[/s:3vrusjp9] the formerly well-balanced one. He can't understand why people get so worked up about watches so he's sure to be impartial.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Hi Eddie! Could you possibly elaborate just a liiiiiiiiitle bit on 'handle' ? :P (Inviting the famous 'NO'!)Originally Posted by swanbourne

No but I can tell you that Paul received your watch today and he was "made-up".Originally Posted by KavKav

Let's face it-- dials with arabic numerals are never going to be completely symmetrical. Arabics, from the completely angular 4, to the completely rounded 8, are just too different from one another. The only way to make the dial "seem" truly symmetrical to the human mind's eye would be to force the numerals into actual unsymmetrical positions-- so when you superimposed those lines and circles the dial would look completely out of whack!
Truth is, the number 4 has always been a trouble maker-- going back centuries. That's why on roman dials the number 4 is represented by IIII instead of the actual roman number: IV. To the human eye, IIII seems in more balance and symmetry with VIII than IV would.

Can you stop shouting with all the red writing, please ... :(

Costume jewellery. Ouch!!!
John is correct, big red text is not 'easy on the eye' and conveys the wrong impression. We are most interested in what you write, but not in big red text please. (Welcome to the forum, you will enjoy it hereabouts ! :) )Originally Posted by abraxas

Yup Chris, guilty as charged! I just looked at his post count rather than his joining date and with gaps in excess of a year between some of his posts,(Yes, I am aware his posting frequency is his own business :) ) it is easy to think of him as a 'newbie' if one does not check. Thanks for pointing that one out.Originally Posted by chrisb

Hi guys, I am getting a little confused now. Is Eddie saying that he expects the SB3 to be available next week ? or later ?
Didn't you get the e-mail. Secret sales tomorrow at 8:00 AM GMT.Originally Posted by Spy

A long way away from a civilised reserved list.
The anticipatioon with a reserved list is bad enough but at least you know you will get one in the end.
With this method, you have no idea if you will get what you are after !
Another day nearer the starting gun. :D :D :D :D

Has nobody else noticed that the watch is now up, albeit 'available soon'? The ad is really tempting.
And the price is lower than I expected.
I got really excited when I seen the ad and went to buy one only to find out were not quite there yet. :( Pics and price are great though. :)Originally Posted by jd
