A very expensive one if they are roosting in your house and you try to sell it. Bats have become a very profitable industry.

    Name my bat!

    Cricket

I find bats fascinating, (I am a saddo, I have said this often)
I guess because as a Londoner I don’t see them often
My father in law has massive fruit bats in his garden in Africa that sit in the sausage trees during the day, he also has Megadermatidae which are the false vampire bats, these little ones have a habit of flying in to the ceiling fans, you can hear them ping off the steel blades.

So I called him Dangly Bollocks. And he rolled his eyes and said, “says the 55 year old.”

Please be aware that in the UK you need a licence to handle bats and they can carry rabies

Don't you just love the French.

German for bat = fledermaus. Mouse that flutters. Very sensible.

    The French? Chauve-souris. Bald mouse.

I can picture the scene when Pierre and Henri were inventing the French language, possibly on their nightly stroll through the fields to or from the local auberge.

    "Seen anything unusual yet Henri?"

"No Pierre, nothing unusual; in fact nothing at all apart from a mouse that flew past. Actually, here it comes again.
    HOLY SHIT!!!! IT'S BALD!!!!!"
