Quite apart from being a fine film and exactly the image this thread is after, I'm still delighted that whoever did the watches for the Man From Uncle reboot went to the trouble of working out precisely what watch the son of a high ranking Russian in the fifties would inherit from his father. In a genre filled with tired old product placement, Ilya's 50's 34mm blued, screwback centre seconds Pobeda, the twin to the first wristwatch in space (in gold) was a breath of fresh air, especially as it played a slightly central role in the film which could have so easily been a jarring modern watch.

Lordy, David Niven likes his watches! I'm guessing that's a Longines above, but he's got more watches than I have!

And one more but nobody seems to be sure what the watch is.

Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Was hoping you'd drop by, C-B.

    I was squinting at the brochure she's holding. Looks like there's a 917 and a GT40.

Virtually everything in the whole photo is iconic.

On reflection I reckon it's a vintage Hamilton.
