Ordered in December 2020, arrived 2 weeks ago.
I've been after a cheap analogue quartz "beater" to compliment my G Shock for a while now. I received a marketing email on Friday from H S Johnson with a sale offer of up to 80% off rrp so had a quick browse...found a nice looking grey dial piece with nice orange accents on a decent looking grey rubber strap.
RRP was quoted at £149.99 (not sure how much weight you can put behind that) but with an extra 5% discount code and free delivery the watch arrived on Saturday morning at the bargain price of just £36.94
For what I wanted it fits the bill perfectly...I'd have liked 100m w/r resistance and maybe a screw down crown but for £37 I'm not going to knock it. I think it looks great too...oh and they're sold out now so I guess others thought so too....

I think they're only guaranteeing 4pm at the moment.
They’ve missed 1pm for me!

I’ve had this for just over a week now, I wasn’t sure about the size but it’s the best 4 or 5 digit fit that I’ve tried, the spider dial is pretty cool when you can catch it.
I’ve been wearing this for a week now, it’s still making me smile.

Which colour is that metal.......because if it’s white, then the writing for ‘Yachtmaster’ should also be in white. Red features only for smaller rose gold, but the lighting can be tricky and hard to tell. With the white gold 42 version Rolex removed the red writing and changed it back to white. Presumably to be ‘monochrome’.
Nerdy I know......and hard to capture. I just don’t know which version this is. With Rolex we all know that the use of ‘red’ writing can be significant, as I said. Nerdy.

Thanks guys, I’m really enjoying it.
Yes, it’s the 40mm Rose gold version. Lighting can be tricky inside but when the sun hits the 18ct gold it looks fab!
Much better size on the rubber as I suspected but the reflection is a bit strong, I'm not used to seeing my face when I look at a watch dead on.
Not sure there is a better watch new for under £300, quartz or not.
Theres a new emperor in town!
This arrived today, first impression is very good!

Nothing for ages and they come in 2s. After getting a grail on bank holiday I get the AD call randomly for a watch I’ve always been curious about. I’ve had numerous vintage datejusts from the 70s but never a modern 36mm.
Took a bit of time getting used to it as I mainly wear 38/40mm watches now but it’s a great all rounder. Love how low key it is.
