Now that's a crystal!
Isn't this style of hand known as 'snowflake'?
I like this model....desirable!
i had a couple of these a few years ago. The only Tudor Sub's worth getting are the french 'mil' issued ones, same as you have posted, but with the stamped markings, or the rose dialed ones with the 7928 cases, sporting the Rolex derived Cal 390 movement. 2 years ago, these were selling for £600.....now it seems they are fetching almost £2000, wish i'd kept hold on mine!!!! the non cal 390 'subs' just have modified ETA movements, run of the mill
Disagree - ALL the early Tudor Sub's are collectable - the Mil issued ones more so :wink:Originally Posted by foilguy

I agree. The one in the ad is not a bad price either. Their prices are climbing daily.Originally Posted by Chris_in_the_UK

Costume jewellery. Ouch!!!
Pretty sure that Blue Tudor originated from Wales!
Helped welsh collector sell his watch to a Mwr chap sometime back :D
Wish I'd kept mine:-

Indeed a very good price... given the current exchange rate. And they've just had a service. Prices can only rise. I'd get one if I had the pocket money right now.Originally Posted by abraxas

 what's with that crystal then... looks like it could catch somewhat!!
Looks like a Tropic 127 to me. Standard on the 1680's too. Makes a wonderful profile :-)

Absolutely Gorgeous watches!!
Bought mine for 670 pounds in used condition, sold her for around 890-900pounds.
Mine is actually the blue dialled vrsion but fitted a replacement black bezel insert, as I couldn't get a nice blue inserts, prefer black over blue anyway.
Bracelet is aftermaket but original was beggared!

OK, fair enough, i guess i'm being a purist :) ..........suffice it to say i love the Cal 390 combined with the small rose tudor Subs, and ain't too fussed with the poorer cousins with the ETA movements, unless in a later 'Mil' spec French Tudor where the provenance is in the desirability of it being a 'mil' watch.
But as you say they are now all commanding good prices, should have kept mine:( , still bought some smiths deluxe milities off the back of it, and they are real beauties :P
Snowflake hands rock.
