It is a fascinating museum. My favourite item was an application letter by Albert Einstein to Leiden University from 1901, with the self addressed reply card still attached. Apparently they didn't even bother to reject him.

Well speaking as an expat Geordie could it be the Stand located in the other centre of the universe, Newcastle?

Probably a bit hard as the pic focused on the watch but I did post a pic with a different watch on ( no one replied to or got ) earlier in thread?

The latter well done. Not been to salcombe yet. Was going to go last week after Dartmouth but the weather was forecast a lot better for Weymouth so stayed there a few nights instead.

It has a bit of a Lake Louise feeling to it, but I think it's in Germany (even if only just about).

As there was a lot of low cloud and the top was often covered we decided not to. I think for the four of us it would’ve been around €150 which didn’t help !

Yes, I know it well. A very interesting spot. I'll let others have a go at working it out, here's another angle.

I'll give you that. It is the the old Cobra Mist/BBC world service installation on Orford Ness. Plenty of other interesting installations on there too.

Your image is very atmospheric, which is appropriate as some of the transmissions used 'skywave' propagation to gain range by bouncing the signals off the ionosphere.

Thank you. I took some photos without the watch and with a better camera so I might tweak those and put them on the photo section.

Think this one would be tough with the background out of focus so second pic included.

Beautiful piece of parquetry, shame that people have been allowed in with high heels.

Viewing the picture on a larger screen I have just noticed the German beside what looks like a throne. So I'll change my answer to the Throne Room, Residenz, Munich, Bavaria, Germany.

My comment on the flooring still stands.

It doesn't look like anywhere in Britain plus it looks like vehicles are driving on right hand side of the road. The oyster boat, the lamp posts on the bridge and the church steeple give it a feel of northern France so a quick search for box girder bridges in northern France leads me to le Pont sur la Seudre. I nearly confused it with le viaduc d'Oléron but it doesn't feel right.

Well done, I did confuse it with viaduc d'Oléron although I couldn't fathom where the photograph could have been taken from if it was.
