Not to everyone’s taste but have been hankering for one of these for ages and decided to go for it, life is too short. Loving the dial on this, and the heft on the wrist is nice too.

Traded my Daytona against a 2007 Z serial, freshly serviced SD16600 and couldn’t be happier. Had one, traded it and regretted it. Lovely daily wearer, tough as boots, scratched the Daytona itch and couldn’t be happier.
Happy as the proverbial pig in the you know what with this!!
I wasn't successful in my attempts to buy a Caribbean last Sunday so to get my colour fix this may well fit the bill. For the price I can live with 'Tactical Frog' on the dial.
What is the threshold for tax, just wondering what the final cost will be? They are £156 from China.

Love that!
I’m on ‘ze list’ at my AD, (who have supplied me with many hard to get SS pieces) and I can’t believe how hard it is to get!
Six months and no news!
Congratulations Michael…..

Had this 4 days, very impressed overall, its scratched an itch for now, its only gained 20 seconds in the time I've had it.
Not a problem as such but for my personal taste I do not like faux rivets on my bracelets, the quality of the TF bracelet is fantastic however.
I have swapped out the bracelet for an 80s oyster style, now for me the watch is near perfect!

Breguet Marine Chronograph 5827 in rose gold collected yesterday. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and, to my eyes, this is perfection.

Something of a contrast to the last post, but spotted this a vintage/antique shop for £30.
Given it a wipe down, general de-crud but tempted to try pulling it apart for a better clean....

Spur of the moment pickup yesterday.
38mm but wears a little larger.
Get that Zenith on a NATO ASAP!
This was delivered today, a recent grab from Coot on the SC. I can't think of a better way to spend £110 on a watch! Thrilled with it - really happy.
Thanks guys, had a 2002 version that I traded with Kash and regretted it. The Daytona just felt too blingy (IMHO) and I’m glad to have this model back in the collection.
That'll do for me. I've admired GS from afar for many years but they've always been out of my price range. I love the ethos, dedication to perfection and the growing of their own quartz!!!!
I was asked recently what says to me "he knows his watches" and my answer was "Grand Seiko". If you know, you know!
I went to have a look at this one a couple of months ago when Berry's became an AD and to be honest I was a bit underwhelmed. I think it was because it was on display with the more expensive models therefore I probably, unfairly, assessed it relatively against the whole range. I went back at the weekend and the two they had were sold. The good people of the North East clearly have great taste in watches!
So I sourced this one and voila, it's a stunner.
I actually think that entry level 9F quartz is the sweet spot for Grand Seiko. The tech in these things is incredible. Just in case you haven't seen this, there's a great Hodinkee write up here: https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/se...ith-caliber-9f
A new addition to the fold. A 1983 medium Fatboy, but one quite unique. 1983 was the only year that a 6BB (RAF) prefixed G10 appeared with a CWC dial. In 1984 6BB prefixed on the Precista and that was it, just the two years out of the 26 year production period. Less than 1,000 of the 1983 were issued.
Hunting down an 1983 0552 should be even more fun
