I think a black nato would work fine. me i'd have it beadblasted and on a grey one.

What kind of straps (leather or NATO) will work with the blue Seiko SBDC003 sumo? Just wondering if the blue dial and bezel will limit the strap choices compared to the one with black dial and bezel. If anyone have got pictures, please post, haven't found to many on the net with anything other than the bracelet.

Is it a blue sumo? Does it look good on a grey NATO?Originally Posted by Karl

Blue NATO, naturally.

That looks quite good on a NATO, might try my black dialled one on a NATO now...

What about a red zulu seen here on a Seiko 'Bullet' ... Paul ;)
An interesting combo would be the blue sumo on a tanned leather strap.
I'd try a blue sharkskin strap.
NATOs neatly sidestep the "problem" on the Sumo of the large gap between the springbars and the watch itself, which shows badly on pretty much all straps apart from the OEM Seiko rubber one.Originally Posted by Dave E

I got one with the "high date"-issue, but it doesn't bother me too much. Put it on a bond NATO, and it looks great. Found a nice strap on this site (on top), but not sure where to buy it. Mailed Higuchi about it, but haven't heard anything yet.
How about a dark blue sailcloth? Here's the black version...
That's a nice strap. Where is it sold?Originally Posted by ticktock
Just bought one of Eddie's Aviator open-ended "special" straps, might post a picture when I get it.
That red zulu looks great, i love the way it picks out the red on the face.
