Just got it back from the shops. A 1980 MGB. Some of the things done includes chrome bumper and series one conversion. Wire wheel conversion. New clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, Clutch master and slave cylinders, rear engine oil seal and pilot bearing. She needs a detailing but that will have to wait it is already to cold for me to spend all day doing that.

A very nice looking car. Lovely.
And of course it had to be black, Lord Vader!
Actually I went to look at a red one but it had been sold so I had to settle. Plan on changing the interior to black in the spring. Only 71,000 miles.
Lovely looking car, I have a red ‘71 (not as good condition as yours).
I think that looks very nice indeed. Don't see many in black.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Looks good! I wish you many safe miles!
Thanks to everyone. I figured of all the sites I belong to (other than the MG sites) you guys would appreciate it the most. To bad it is the start of the cold seasons.
Very nice. Black looks really nice against the chrome. I always like black sports cars with a red leather interior.
Handsome looker Ron.
Be lovely when the weather warms up a bit.
Cheers,
Neil.
Lovely looking motor!!
Nice car. Glad you're OK - you're a rather infrequent poster these days.
That looks great. For what it's worth, I like the interior/exterior colour combination as it is. Driving old cars is a completely different experience to modern stuff, which you either get or you don't. I love it - not every day, but you feel so much more engaged in the whole thing.
Nice car and looks really good in black, with the chrome bumper/wire wheels conversion. If you change the interior, are you replacing the modern seats with the pre-1970 shape? A black crinkle dash would really set it off too.
I had a 1971 MGB, in bronze yellow, with the inset grille, which was unique to that year. According to the DVLA it's still in existence and SORN'd at the moment. It was followed by a TR4, which is still with its next owner and has had a nut & bolt rebuild.
