show me your Speedmaster mk2 reissues

I tried one on at the weekend, black dial. Absolutely love it.

Would love to see yours (including racing dials)......

I haven't got a particularly good picture, but here is mine:

Bought it back in April and love it. Very comfortable to wear because of the bracelet and the adjustable clasp. Also, not having a huge lug-to-lug, even though there is an obvious bulk to the watch, it doesn't feel massive. Very comfortable.

Also great when the lume catches the light and the tachymetre scale glows.

Not entirely sure on their availability now...were they discontinued?

The red racing dial is no longer in production but the standard black dial version is.

I think it was your sales post that brought this watch onto my radar. I dithered on it and missed out then had to find one elsewhere!

Here’s mine (also no longer in production):-

Is it wrong that I have a hankering for one of the two-tone models.

I love vintage looks but don’t like buying vintage watches…which is why I have this and the Longines Heritage Military in my small collection.

Last time I looked, Watchfinder had a few pre-owned Mk2's with racing dials in stock at what IMO are decent prices.

EDIT, can somebody tell me the case thickness for the later coaxial version (with date please).

    Thanks

Tried the racing dial on when it was first released, looked fantastic but too big for my puny wrists.

The radial brushing on those is amazing - but I think I'd be too afraid of scratching it to wear it.

Ha - I hear you… sometimes it is not, and that disappointment is awful.
    But not in this case!

It is a really special looking bit of kit. Wears well, weighs as much as a planet but feels balanced on the wrist.
Quality is absolutely oozing from it.

No, 2015 - but went back to Omega in late 2020 for full service, replacement handsets, and light brush up. Unworn since that service.
It is mint, exactly as new.

Bro - I have worn it for almost a week and it has aged a year!! Dinged it already, and some rub marks to the polishing. Argh!

For anyone considering one of these, they have just appeared in the EJ sale at the best price I've ever seen. In my experience they don't carry much stock so be quick!

    https://www.ernestjones.co.uk/websto...racelet+Watch/

If the watch appears out of stock online, chat or phone customer services and they'll usually locate one in their physical stores which can be bought over the phone and posted.

    Showing out of stock already.

I know the Omega boutique at EJ store in Manchester said there were only 2 left in country 2 weeks ago

Yep. Online is always a nightmare at EJ but I’ve twice got what I was after by speaking to customer services and asking if they have any in their physical stores. Just follow that up with a call to the store, pay by card and they’ll post it. Did it a couple of weeks ago and picked up a brand new Longines Heritage Military at nearly 50% off.
