    Omega Speedmaster Racing

    Hi all,
Was having another think about dabbling with another Speedmaster but somehow the 42mm versions never quite looked right on me (small wrists) & I’ve never fancied going to 38mm.
I didn’t realise this Racing version existed at 40mm. What are peoples views - is it good or bad?
    Any thoughts appreciated.
    Cheers
    Steve

Looks good, thanks for posting pics. What’s the lug width on it, 18 or 20mm?

    Omega Speedmaster Racing

I have the black dial version, great size. The movement isn’t for the omega purists but it’s never bothered me.

They both are really nice, I’m a fan of the smaller speedys. Here’s mine, non racing but still a tiddler.

I’ve been on the look for one of these for ages! Can’t seem to find any in the UK and I’m reluctant to pick one up unseen from overseas. If you ever think about parting with it, please give me a shout!!

It's weird. I am a lifelong motor racing fan. I am also a big Omega fan. However, I just don't like the racing dials.

The Speedmaster was originally designed for racers and fans, so I think the so called racing dial is gilding the lily.

I like a Speedmaster Reduced too, but the racing dial just looks a bit cluttered and unappealing.

If you want a speedy racing, do it properly

Lovely version and agree on the proportions - I have a reduced and it’s my ‘grab and go’ watch.
