I can recommend John at Audio Origami.
He's not local to you, but, should be able to talk you through how to get the arm assembly out to be posted, perhaps?

Hoping someone might be able to recommend somewhere to look at my old Pro-ject turntable, which has recently developed some interference and occasiional cutting out on the left channel. Replaced the stylus just in case but the issue is still there, so I suspect tonearm wiring but don't have the confidence to take a look myself.
Thanks!
Robert

I've used Infidelity (in Hampton Wick, just the other side of the river from Kingston upon Thames) for turntable servicing. They're a good bunch.
As indeed is Johnny of AudioOrigami. I have one of his arms, and a fine sounding piece of work it is too.
PJ Hifi in Guildford do turntable servicing
Excellent many thanks everyone Kingston and Guildford both options for me so will give both a call
I second that from personal knowledge of Johnnie’s service

I use this chap in Wallington, has fixed my Arcam amp, and Sony turntable. Cheap, and really knows his onions.

If you don't have any luck with the others then I've always used Unilet in New Malden. When I moved away from SW London and I was struggling to get my Gyrodec working properly, their turntable specialist happened to be nearby so popped in and sorted it. Given we'd moved all the way to Essex and in order to sort it he had to take the whole system apart and re-level the whole stand before rebuilding the deck itself I felt that was way above and beyond the call of duty! Still buy stuff there even though it's miles away.
Never used them but I've chatted to the chap at HiFi Hangar in Bordon and he seems to know his stuff.
Thanks everyone lots of leads to follow up, much appreciated.
