John Vargas - dont let the Army Universal Camoflage fool you; I am from Denmark and bought the ACU dust protection in the Kandahar PX. We have the M113 and love the old warhorse (with add-on armour) but unfortunately only considered the Abrahms and then went with the german Leopard. A great machine and it works wonders in Helmand Province, but I would have preferred the Abrahms.....but that is just me.
The M113 have saved some lives as we have had several mine strikes in the APC and would have lost even more lives, had we had less armoured vehichles.
PS
Is there an empty space in your airforce collection for some airforce stuff from Denmark - just say the word and I mail you some.

I am glad to hear that the 113 saved some of your guys lives, I agree there is nothing better than the M113, that thing is so versatile is unbelievable from Airborne tanks to APC’s…There coming out with an improved M113, and variants for coalition forces.
I would gladly accept and pay for any Danish Air Force items to add to my collection, I would be proud to display them! Thanks for offering.
Kandahar, is becoming a hotter spot, so stay safe, and keep your head low!
Hope to see you home soon!
Best and safest regards!

Before that I ran a small logistics company, before that I was in marketing, and before that I was a pilot. Jack of all trades me :P
The needs of working with a disability have defined my career path until now, although I am chuffed to bits now playing with aeroplanes again and giving disabled people and those with terminal illness the chance to do something amazing and life changing. For the first time since I stopped commercial aviation 14 years ago I absolutely love my job. Fantastic!
Courier and prospective continuing law student, just need to get enough money together to pay the fees, as I don't want to have a lot of debt to worry about.
Environmental and geotechnical engineer at the moment. Not sure for how long though...this rumoured recession has been biting me in the ass for far too long already.
Economics student, trying to finish a d.phil...
I am a Police Communications Room Controller for Nottinghamshire Police and next year will be doing it for Calgary Police.
I get to tell police officers what to do and where to go and get paid for it  No two days are ever the same, can be stressful and exhilarating at the same time and good bunch of people I work with, mostly police officers, ex-police officers or ex-military comms (like me)
