Meanwhile somethig i ordered last december 2007 should be reaching me by wednesday.
The Fedex Man was early.
My Stowa Serial Airman Flieger, I waited 9 months for this. Well worth the wait.
Watch is just right. Not as cumbersome as a IWC Big Pilot. See Pics
Thanks for looking! Enjoy

Naughty Naughty. Did i saw this for sale somewhere in the SC?Originally Posted by mr1973
Nope. Something more substantial. German made
Is not limited though but the wait is still long.
So is it a Damasko? Maybe it's that Stowa that's difficult to get hold of that someone put a thread on a few weeks back? Stowa FO limited edition
Damasko?............... but which one?
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

Let me guess!.... It is a WATCH? :D
Yup. Nice thing that Stowa! Still undecided between this one and the 44mm Steinhart.
Congrats :-)

The equivalent movement Steinhart is 47mm. :wink:Originally Posted by mr1973

Lovely; one of the most pleasing fliegers I've seen.
Apparently the FO is oversubsribed. Waiting list to June 2009 for current order. I guess i am lucky that i am still able to choose between See thru case back and solid case back. I am loving every minute of this watch on my wrist.Originally Posted by abraxas
It gives me a even deeper satisfaction than the IWC 5002 Big Pilot which i had in 2004-2005. The 7 days movement was problematic. The time lags when it reaches its last 2 days of reserve. Not good.
As for the FO, the onion crown doesn't dig the wrist like the diamond crown and the stop second hand feature. Breath taking. Kept twiddling with it. Hope i don't screw it up. LoL
.
Sorry I deleted my entry because the new solid-back ones currently on offer are handwound ETA 2801 and not centre seconds Unitas.

That explains. I was wondering where did your post go? The new LE is with the smaller hand wound movement. The dial essentialy is the same. I suppose with the Unitas movement FO, i will give this LE a miss.Originally Posted by abraxas
I probably will aim for a Stowa MO for my next target in 2010.
Cheers. Pilot Fleet pictures coming up soon. D

Stowa do make a lovely watch, congratulations!

Lovely watch; really like the crisp design and execution.
Looking forward to the flieger family photos!

I wonder what happened to Eddie's 2nd Pattern dial Lange (B-Uhren)homage ... huh?

Perhaps we'll see it in a friday thread, labeled 'This old thing' ;-)
I'm not sure if the market is still there btw.

Looks good Jimbo. I like that. Would like a date though. However the case back with movement showing is absolutely beautiful !!
