And ordered. 99.1M, silver engraved, no appliqués, black numerals (no red), rose gold movement finish.
Thanks for the collective TZ wisdom, and Dornblüth for letting me try the case and dials.
The long wait begins.

That is beautiful, and is also what I’ve ordered.
Out of interest, did you choose a personal engraving? That’s my next choice to make

I did on mine. I felt that with the personal involvement in customising the watch. The closeness of working with Dirk and the updates he sends, then I knew my Dornblüth would become the family heirloom watch so I had it engraved with the date and our surname.
I think it’s likely I will go with a personalised engraving, maybe initials and year. I don’t plan for it to be sold, at least not while I’m alive!

Based on what I had read, I expected updates, but didn't get any..maybe the process has changed... Overall, very impressed with the communication, and quality..Was a little worried 42 might be too big, but on receipt, it's perfect.. and the dial.. amazing!!
Hard to compare the two engraved options from the photos provided, silver on brass looks better to me, but it's a macro shot, versus a slightly unclear wide shot, so I wouldn't swear in court I don't prefer the ceramic.
That said, those blue applied indices look far better to me.

ETA I see the OP's already ordered, I hope he enjoys the watch - I don't think I'd ever buy a Dornbluth myself, but it must be a fun experience to spec one.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?
I am really looking forward to my watch.
A little disillusioned, like a lot of people, at the current watch market where it’s all bling, investment and show. A Dornblüth feels like a reset back to first principals.
That is class.
Fantastic combination you must very pleased despite the wait?
Great company to deal with also, tempted to try another after not owning one for many years.
Yes very happy with it!
The only thing I would say is I had looked at a million macro of engraved dial and decided I wanted that “depth” to the dial. Under the naked eye it’s hardly noticeable however so a printed dial is def an option with out to much compromise if you are looking to save 1k!
Already eyeing another ….
I think the below combination from their Facebook is incredible.
That looks fabulous!
I’m currently 6 months into the wait for my 99.1M, so if it’s 14 months that will take me to Jan 23
I see you went for the engraved movement. Although I haven’t had to commit to the engraving yet, I’m certain I will, as this will be an heirloom watch that will outlive me.
Congratulations

My 99.1 is back to Dornbluth for service and I'm happy to report the customer experience is as exemplary as it was when I was purchasing.
