At first I didn't like the G10 due to the word QUARTZ on the dial. A pheon would have been far more pleasing to me. But, it is what it is, and it has heritage.

Also, whilst I like mechanical watches, there is something to be said for a watch that just ticks away regardless and can be picked up and worn at any time without needing attention.

I’m 100% with you on this. The G10’s have a heritage all of their own. The other factor that I really enjoy is the fact I don’t worry about wearing them in any scenario. A true tool watch. But also with an understated cool factor. Once you get it, the CWC’s can sort of ruin the hobby. Or maybe, more accurately, they can provide a completeness.
