    New Oris - birthday treat

    Evening all.
40 today!! Thanks for the birthday messages last weekend but that was actually a pre-birthday treat from my wife. Liverpool - point blank, a lot of cocktails and a bloody good steak!!

This weekend it's manchester with the lads (again, cocktails, beers and too much food).

This morning my wife surprised me with this - the limited edition "Lake Baikal" Oris Aquis from their save the oceans range. Absolutely over the moon with it, my own name on the paperwork for a change and it's 100% a keeper!!

Nice Kev, a lovely acquisition with a beautiful dial .
    Enjoy your night out .
I know you havent asked but if you can, get the boys to Cottonopolis , off Dale St/ Newton St. .
Great food, excellent cocktails and a really good music background .
    Happy birthday .

Good shout mate. I've never been but we're going to "behind closed doors" and "dusk til pawn" so it's only round the corner.

Very nice! I do have a soft spot for Oris. Lovely variable shade of blue. And what initiative shown by your wife - had you given any hints, or does she just know you very well?

    Belated happy birthday.

Cracking birthday present, love the way the dial fades towards the centre. Have a great birthday.
    Best Regards - Peter

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

    Happy Birthday!

Those Oris really do punch above their weight. I sold my Upcycle recently and I actually regret it. I'm going to be on the lookout for another!

    Belated happy birthday.

    Cheers everyone!
I actually fancied the aquis with the dark red dial but I was waiting for it to go on sale (£1700 seemed a bit steep). While browsing the Chisolm Hunter sale a couple of months ago this one really jumped out at me so I did drop a subtle hint or two and it obviously stuck.
