Elephant & Castle? Just guessing at this stage.

Yes, I paused to support a colleague whilst heading to an event south of the river. He finished with a time of 3:29:28 which may or may not help with the rough location.

The buildings aren’t particularly noteworthy so here’s a photograph with the background in focus with enough clues to get you across the line.

Looks like the less familiar bit of Canary Wharf?

I would have given a couple of fingers for sub 3:30. I managed 3:32 in 2012.

You are close enough, I was on the east side of Jubilee Park. I thought that the 640East bar plus Underground sign would help.

I'll catch up with him tomorrow, I imagine he's pretty euphoric.

    From Trip Advisor:

"This life sized statue, with an anonymous face, stands facing out to sea, enclosed by a chain fence.

To the rear of the statue there is a plinth with a plaque on it, the inscription on the plaque, in Spanish and English, explains what the statue is about.

It pays hommage to the previous generations of Canarians (the ancestors) who were mostly illiterate. However, through their hard work and dedication they encouraged their children to improve their education and resources which led to the development of the region.

It acknowledges that they contributed to the level of well-being and development of the region that the current generation enjoy."

Dang - I even have a photo of my kids standing at that statue but still would never have got this without you telling us

There may be something in the image that gives it away.

I don't know what you meant that should give it away, but I found it by googling for a dock with turquoise railing.

The GMT hand was set to GMT.
The time was set to GMT+2.
That should’ve narrowed it down a bit.
Then it was warm & sunny (T-Shirt weather).
That should have pointed to somewhere in the eastern med.

Glad you got to see them again, unfortunately I couldn't make the dates work on the closest venues to me else I'd have given you a shout. I don't think they'll be on tour again until '24...

I had missed the time zone hint, too obvious....

The climate was obviously a hint.

Cheers, I'd love to catch a PSB gig with you again! Amersham Arms will always be something a bit special.

My colleague in the far north of Scotland has Go! For a ringtone and was absolutely staggered when I recognised it as his phone rang in the background when we were talking a while ago.

He’s so far north even Inverness was a bit too far on a school night last night though.
