Really like this, not badly priced either

Nice looking watch, shame it's so small. I've not got the biggest wrists but a 40mm FF looks small on me, this 38mm would look tiny.

    That looks great

    But…

Too small for me unfortunately, and I do feel that a 38hr power reserve is too little for a mainstream brand these days.
It's just a matter of time...

If it was 40mm and had drilled lugs it would be pretty much perfect.

I’m never sure if these classic styles should be pumped up to modern sizes. I think they lose some of their retro charm. Looks lovely to me, although I’m not sure if I’d buy it over a Certina ds with the newer movement at about half the price

Very nice but again too small for me. Do fancy a skin diver to add to my meagre collection.

38mm is small if we compare it to modern divers, but I think in this case it's probably right if they want to capture the vintage vibe. We're very quick to point out when new retro isn't honest, or retro.

I'm also of the opinion that this is way too small! A shame as it looks good ..

That it is nice - Similar size to Eddies PRS-60 Commander (although the Vulcan is a tad slimmer) which seem popular? Maybe better for slim wrists.

I like the size.Brown lume and leather strap are a no-no though!

I do like, very good homage to the original indeed.

I really like this but it would have to go on a Tropic.

    Any UK dealers?

    Oh dear!

Would have to collect in person then, don't trust them at all after my last dealings.

Think I am going for the blue dial model, I have a soft spot for Vulcain.

You can try Ocarat in France also - they usually have discount codes that make it a but cheaper than the UK - currency conversion rates notwithstanding.

Yes 10% off, just the black dial in stock currently. Thanks for the heads up.

Vulcain are a manufacture with several of their own movements, this is an ETA-based budget offering by the looks of it.

I like the watch and I am fine with the size. I have a 7.25" wrist and 38mm watches generally fit me perfectly. It has a 2824 with the date function removed and the date position removed from the crown function. I do think a bracelet would benefit this watch but it doesn't appear to have that option. Regardless, it is very handsome.

Hodinkee has a write up about it here:

I love this and being blessed with teenage girl wrists it'll fit perfect.
Don't mind the lack of bracelet as it'd live on a NATO.

That does look nice. Actually like the size, being based on an older watch the smaller size might be more appropriate. Preferred sizes 'seem' to be coming down, so maybe it will hit the sweet spot. Would also have liked drilled lugs, but not much to complain about there
