That looks great. It would great with a period correct strap. Maybe a collaboration with A.F.0210

Come on Eddie, how about a batch of the Hillary Original? Same 36mm case as the one above with a different dial and handset. I'd buy one.
Costume jewellery. Ouch!!!

So this is probably never going to happen - too similar to the PRS-25 and recently a very 'hyped' watch due to the re-release which isn't really timefactors' gig
However!
- originally designed and supplied to British explorers
- interesting handset
- vintage feel that falls in line with the rest of the smiths catalogue
Make it a 36mm and give the seconds hand that red tip from the reissue and I think it would sell. One of the biggest complaints about the current ranger is the size (most feedback I see is it should have been 36mm but they didn't want to interfere with the explorer's identity in the lineup) so we know there's a market for it and lots of people found timefactors from looking for an affordable alternative to the 1016 so that kind of reach isn't unheard of for the company
Would be easy to implement as it's basically just a PRS-25 with a different dial and handset, so a lot of the work is already done. The changes I've suggested also gives it enough of an identity where it's definitely a Smiths take on the watch, and not a rip off of a model that's recently been getting some media attention
Quick Edit: with the same lume that was used on the PRS-25 Honeycomb for the extra warmth!
Have now got myself worked up for a watch that doesn't exist
