It would be interesting to find out how the WWW ended up in Serbia. It looks to have lived a life.
This 2 watches come from Serbia. Could be from special army guys in mision Pulsaj 20220926_104641.jpg

My suspicion is that these two watches were worn by commandos in the Pulsaj mission. The first British military mission to JVuO was led by Captain Dwayne Tyrell -Bill- Hudson (Duane Tyrell Hudson). There is a whole series of photos of the participants of that mission.
Record is in very good condition. Working good all numbers on case good

Interesting theory but the mission you describe predates the introduction of the WWW by at least 2 years if not 3.
The WWW were not a WW2 watch but were introduced just after WW2 (earliest 1945 for the Omega, others a bit later)
So whilst it may just be possible (at the very end of the war), I would think it is highly unlikely as the time frame does not match.
I also think equipping a SOE team already behind enemy lines with the latest wrist watch would not be a priority, a Sten or No4 mk1 would be much more useful equipment for any air drop.
I have no idea what the JLC is but to my knowledge it is not a British military issued watch, it’s not a JLC WWW or a WW2 ATP. It is from the 30s /40s though. Maybe a private purchase watch used by a troop.
They are both nice watches though.

I love combining collecting with history. In addition to collecting military watches, by which many people know me, I also collect a digital archive of photos and videos of WWII. I have several hundred thousand digital photos with tons of data attached to them.
In addition to watches, which are becoming increasingly difficult to find in Croatia, I also threw myself into military binoculars, compasses and cameras (of which I have 2 ultra rare Laicas).
If anyone is nearby, feel free to contact me and be my guest, I don't know exactly where to present the entire collection on the forum if anyone is interested. And if anyone wants to see the watches and more privately I am always available on 00385 91 602 8115 via Viber or WatsUp.
All the best to everyone this holiday season.
If someone knows something more about the watches I showed, please write, it would be interesting. I have a lot of English military pocket watches, but of the wrist watches, at the moment only these two.
I too am a history buff and collect lots of items related to history.
Military watches, Lee Enfield rifles, Willlys jeep, vintage flying jackets
I think this part of the forum would be the place to show your pocket watches, and the George And Dragon section has people posting their collections of cameras, binos etc. so it would be most welcome
I have not been to Croatia for 4/5 years but previously found myself in Zagreb at least twice a year in the past. I love the City and have lots of friends their.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Never seen one before... very unusual piece .......thanks for posting your collection some very interesting items.
There are even several unique watches in my collection, such as a pocket watch with the Austro-Hungarian coat of arms that I am proud of.
This camera watch is very rare, I've only seen a few in 10 years and they were all worse than mine. Most of them were added with lugs to be carried on the pilot's hands, and thus a small number of them remained alive. Knirim mentions them in his book and it was a great help to me.
There are several TZ UK Leica enthusiasts including me who would be interested in seeing pix of your rare Leica cameras and any other non-Leica vintage / classic cameras. You could post details on the TZ UK Digital Photography Forum where members often post film camera pix. https://forum.tz-uk.com/forumdisplay...al-Photography
