I missed a guess between 4th and 5th words, if I'd completed in sequence then I'd have scored 44. The lowest possible score is 36 though that may as well be lottery odds! My starter was CHASE, from that SHUCK was my next guess and first completed word though it could very easily have been SHOCK, the former was the first word I thought of so I went with it - much like the other guesses!
Edit to add that whilst the lowest score achievable is 36 it's possible to score in single number increments from there on i.e. 36, 37, 38, 39 and so on. The maximum score is 112 (8*14 where 14 is an incompleted word) though you'd be having a bad old day for that.
