Having found myself going down the Seiko rabbit hole these two have settled me at the other end, really enjoying both of them.

Full circle and back to where I was... (again)
Just one Seiko in my collection, and it's a little Seiko 5 dress piece for the rare occasion I want something small and shiny on my wrist.
The included bracelet is absolute junk, so I had a look on eBay and found a third party jubilee bracelet which fits the 18mm Seiko lugs. £17 including postage! It's great and makes it wearable and even more shiny.
Orange monster is one of my fav's

I missed having a Tuna so couldn’t resist this brand new 35th Anniversary for a bargain from an AD. Straight onto an Isofrane.
Seiko Grand Quartz 4840-8110 from 1977
Complete strip & reassembly movement, new seals, crystal is still original, not a single scratch on the crystal,
even AR coating on the crystal is like new.
All tree hand aligned perfectly !
5 spm accuracy
I've never been so impressed with any watch that I have bought, really.
That's gorgeous. My interest in 70s Grand Quartzes had already been piqued and even more so now. I also find it interesting that in models like this you can clearly see the connection in design with the mechanical Grand Seiko line that ended in 1975. Compare it to a 564X-7010 for example. You could easily argue that the GQ line is the continuation of the GS line.
1971 Bell-Matic that I've had for the last 15 years or so. Thinning out the collection though so this one will be out the door shortly.
MM300 for the win.

I think that is the srp777. Never srpe variants have the lumed marker on 3 o'clock (I think that is the only difference).
Enjoy the turtle
