23mm lug width is a bit odd.
And that date at 4 - sweet Odin’s beard, what is wrong with the world!
This just ruins any watch.
Shame. It has some very attractive aspects otherwise.

This popped up online from GS, so presume it's new today.
The previous chronos I always found really striking but never quite hit the spot for me. The new Evolution 9 fit my eye better, but the dial on this looks really nice. High beat and 3 day power reserve is a nice achievement too.

Does look nice, and interesting movement, but the price! Ouch

Dwayne Johnson, your Chronograph has arrived.
And something people have been wanting to see for a long time...
I was hoping for a more interesting solution than a classic vintage Rolex style clasp. I guess it has pushers to open it so it's slightly different, but still... We live in an age of glidelocks, easilinks, and VCs where you can pull out the bracelet for seamless on the fly adjustment.
Having said that I'm one of the few who's never had any problems with their existing bracelets, which can be adjusted by 1/3 link with the right combination of short links. Quite hard to get right but once properly understood and adjusted they work very well.
Another new one from GS, the SLGA023. Diver style, but again lovely dial, and 5 day power reserve spring drive.

And a green GMT spring drive model, SBGE294. I've never clicked with green watches, but the dial texture on this looks amazing

I grumbled about this on the GSOC Facebook page, so apologies for those members on both…
But 44mm with 23mm lugs?!
They already do a plethora of large (and massive!) divers, why can’t they do a ~40mm one?! Plus the price… when I looked there was no UK price, but I see now it’s £10.5k (as I predicted!). Barking. I bought my SBGT241 and SBGA429 combined for nearly £3k less than that.
I really like all the design and materials that make this a GS. However it’s far too big and the price is insane.
I get the quality and technology in these releases but nearly fell off my chair with the prices. Unless I'm now so out of touch...?
Seems to be the same with cars.

No, GS do seem to really be moving the prices recently. It's got so there's quite a disparity between older models that have not been updated in a while, and the newer releases where the prices have been 'adjusted' to I suppose where GS would like to position themselves in the market. Snowflake is a good example, probably GS 'icon', but looks a relative bargain next to some of the new releases.
Seeing below that GS have just updated some of the older models - the 44GS Hi-Beats, including the Mt.Iwate which was another classic - now using this new EverBrilliant steek. Prices there appear to have been nudged up too. So I suspect the older models may be realigned as well.

The GS Silver Birch with a textured case that reminds me of those before and after threads, when someone's Sub has been scraped along the road following a motorcycle crash. This is the before. Natch.

I think in isolation they can look a bit crap, but the good quality photos make them look amazing. I wonder what they actually look like in the real world.
A shame there are still none of the mid-range watches with the PR moved to the back, just to clean the dial up. Although the ramp on with pricing may leave me not wanting to purchase anyway…
ai ai ai... IMO an amazing looking thing, but then there's the small matter of £67K price tag is a bit off putting

Omg, the slga023 looks stunning and I'd be rushing off to the boutique if..... only it were half the price. Blimey, £10.5k is a bit strong!
I agree the black looks great but this blue looks jaw dropping.
Yes but ridiculously oversized sports watches is pretty much a Seiko 'thing', or a modern Seiko thing at least. Tbf, the crew I've had have worn very comfortably, a very large chamfer to the underside of the case and strongly curved lugs both make the watch hug a wrist well. What I'm saying is, don't rule any Seiko (or any watch really) out as too big just based on the numbers, go and try it on.
Tbf, that 023 is so stunning I'd forgive a certain apparent over size.
