21 hours left on my PPL

Plus night and instruments after that. Just crafting a WTB for a DC3....

    Good luck.
I got about half way when I was 21 and then run out of cash.
Must pick it up again one day.
I had a chat with my father (who has a PPL) at the weekend. Might go up with him a few times in the summer and get my hand back in.

    What are you flying?

Little Piper. But in my head it's a Cesna and I'm landing it on a strip cut in to a mountainside in the Shans in 1973.

Best of luck, I'm envious!! I've been flying gliders for the last two years but the time commitment has made it hard to progress. I'm thinking of giving fixed wing microlights a try this summer.

Got my PPL way back in 1995,got close to 500 hours P1 but maybe close to a 1000 hrs right seat in a friends Tobago TB10 ,and a lot of IMC flying too.I was rather good at instrument flying and proved a commercial Pilot wrong one afternoon when he said flying my Elite flight simulator wasnt the same as in the aircraft(it is).So he said he'd pay for the Beech Duchess,so once live it was totally my aircraft.Off we flew from Leeds to Teeside in the cloud and vectors for the ils.
Offered me his hand once landed and said youve got it nailed Paul.
Sadly couldnt keep it going to commercial due to cash!.
    Loved every flight......You will too.

Lapsed glider pilot here , solo at 16 and then a few years of trying to improve, will pick up again at some point I hope :)

I used to love it, but never had the time to keep it up.

My brother was training to be a commercial pilot before giving up on it, but with years of flight time - I think I’d prefer him flying me than a lot of recent pilots 

Lapsed NPPL did the full JAR PPL syllabus just didn't have the class 2 medical just a doctor sign off.

Had some good flights and played around in some interesting Aircraft due to my job role at the time.

Pic is from a PA46 Malibu at around 10k up.
