    Robert Opie Factfile

    • The author of 20 books on the history of advertising and brands, Robert Opie bought the first object in his collection in 1963 – a packet of Munchies from a vending machine in Inverness.
    • By 1975 he had enough to mount his first exhibition at the V&A, The Pack Age: A Century of Wrapping It Up. So successful was this that Opie opened his first museum devoted to the history of packaging and advertising at Gloucester Docks in 1984.
    • By 2005 the museum had moved to London and is now packed full of objects – hence the move.
    • Opie’s canny collecting eye alights on many modern merchandising packaging products, including those promoting the boy band One Direction, from T-shirts to deodorant.

    Yes indeed. Gloucester docks.

    Guess where

Haha - you are likely correct Raffe but I can’t tell from your image where you believe this to be? The beer of the same name is rather nice. Views of the ocean at 120 and 240 degrees from the original perspective too.

Update looking at Google Maps I see you even have the correct parking bay.

    Frankfurt yes
But had no idea my project was opposite the factory - I really should do some research before getting on a plane…

Neither seen nor heard but that would be about the only place in London you would expect to hear one.

Although, these days, you would be lucky to hear one anywhere in the country.

    Finsbury Park?

Edit: Sorry, I just looked for today's Blur Pulp FFS Concert because you had got the DoF wrong and hadn't blurred the background enough.
Just saw you were quite explicit as to where you were in the other thread

Yes it wasn’t intended to be a tricky one. You sound almost as well oiled as I am.
