Tudor to re-release Big Block Chrono?

They've done a full gold version for Only Watch so I assume a mass market version in SS is on the way?

    I’d be in there like a rat up a drainpipe! (Actually, I won’t if it’s a big 42mm slab.)

Of course...they have a new movement in the watch. Wouldn't spend that money on a new caliber unless it's going to mass market

Gold. Definitely not. SS - where do I sign?

Anyone know what the dimensions will be?

40mm dia & 13.5mm thickness would be perfect.

42mm - https://www.onlywatch.com/tudor#Specs It will wear like the current 42mm Tudor chronos (huge).

I don't understand the love for the Big Block. It is thick and chunky and slab-sided like the 41mm Black Bay watches. I owned a 79280 (non-big block) and found it rather plump and unwieldy. The big block would likely have felt even portlier. It wore much thicker than it appears in the only photo I can find of it. It was handsome and very accurate.

I have owned a 7980P for many years, and I still find it a special occasion when I wear it.
Thankfully it isn't one of the Tiger era pieces.

Luckily, I can easily get away with 42-44mm, and have toyed with a big block on several occasions.
The inflated prices asked for part sets with dubious provenance have prevented me completing a deal.

The new BB looks attractive, but depreciation on most new Tudor models is significant.
Depending on the launch price, it could make the few original BB full sets look like good value.

I think that IS the appeal for many.

The Daytona also looks a bit weedy to me, the big block doesn't.

I'm sure it'll be too dear for me, but I remember much admiring an original big block.

I bought the white dial version exactly like the one pictured years ago out of an AD window. Returned it a few days later as I was convinced the rotor wobble meant it was faulty (my daily at the time was a 5513 sub). What an idiot!!

I love the BB, a white Panda dialed 79180 was my first proper watch and I still have it.

A reissue seemed inevitable, shame it has softer lugs than the original and what looks like a ceramic bezel.

Unlikely, they only use those on the BB line.

Would be interesting to see the modern interpretation of the stainless BB
I have had a few and have one in my collection now, watches have come and gone but the BB has out lasted them all in my meagre collection

I'm sure it'd be too thick for me but on the face of it, I REALLY like that.

Tudor to re-release Big Block Chrono?

It will be a hit but the dial proportions look very off. The older ones posted look 10/10.

I would love an original. Unfortunately I hesitated when I should have bought, and watched with dismay as the prices kept going up. I’m not sure I would be that keen on a reissue, although the devil is in the details.

    Oyster / Prince Date

I have a 79280 and have no wearability issues with the 14mm thickness. Only complaint it the hour hand get's lost in the sub dials. My Speedy legibility blows it away.
