He’s the best when it comes to selling his players, always get top dollar but if you need to sign players then I’d say he’s up there with the worst.

I agree. Silva and Haaland are 2 City players that would get in the Arsenal team, that's how highly I rate them

Seems Kane could play for Bayern tomorrow against Leipzig in the German Super Cup. So technically he could win a trophy 1 day after leaving Tottenham

He’s off and running, just as they said Burnley could not defend set pieces.

When did we start allowing time outs for substitutions? Whenever you’ve quite finished Pep.

They clearly need a Pep talk, it’s a Manchester thing, remember Fergie time.

To be fair City looked sloppy at the back at times - better forwards than those employed by Burnley would have punished them.

Harry Kane has signed his 4 year Bayern contract at Bayern HQ on Sabener Strasse. Deal is done.

I am hoping he gets registered today and plays tonight as if as i expect BM will win and Kane plays the above will be true.

I think we should call him Mutley, gimme a meddle.

Arsenal can’t even manage their turnstiles, abandon the game and give the 3 points to Forest.

There's an assumption in your rhetoric here that this gesture of taking the knee is helping to reduce the level of racism in football. I think you'd find that hard to substantiate.

Interesting stat about Harry Kane - last season he converted 64% of his 'good chances' which was the highest in the PL. Haaland converted 53%. So arguably by that metric he was the best striker last year.

Re the PL scoring record I find it weird that football seemingly didn't exist before 1992 and the advent of the PL. Shearer scored some 1st division goals before the PL started so his total top flight goals are much higher but he is still some way behind players like Jimmy Greaves and Dixie Dean for top flight goals.

That's the problem you have when fans actually want to turn up to the stadium to support their side

Spending a few seconds at the start of each match doing keeps drawing attention to it. A few seconds.

it’s part of the no room for racism campaign. How would you rather the players kept attention on it?

Drawing attention to what ? It’s completely pointless.

If you’re racist watching players kneel for 30 seconds isn’t going to change your stance. And if you’re not racist watching it isn’t going to confirm your stance you’re not racist.

One of the benefits of going to the Emptihad is the teams generally wait for you to get in before they start. It’s the personal touch .

Sure, there are going to be a load of people with their heads stuck in the ground and those who can’t lose those precious four or five seconds of their lives, and the racists get the chance for a good boo. But what, give up and hope it goes away? How does it affect you BTW? My son has already experienced racism, and he’s only seven. That’s ok? Or we should just not worry about it because it doesn’t affect the majority of us?

What utter head in the sand crap.

Tell that to the black footballers who have endured and still endure racist abuse, tell that to the non white supporters who have to listen to racist abuse being shouted from the crowds during games.

Don’t really want to argue with you, I just don’t see the point in taking the knee.

    Now, back to the football.

I was expecting big things of Boro this season, it’s going to be a long campaign.

Arsenal scraped across the line in the end but 1st game of the season a win is a win. Looks like a nasty injury for Timber

Checked to see what the scores were, Everton 1-0 down and apparently dominated possession. This does feel like same old same old…..

    Same old, same old.

Lots of huffing and puffing but not a single player in the team who knows how to put the ball in the net. Still banging on about DCL. For Christ sakes sell him, 3 games a season and no goals, why does everyone think he is the second coming. My 88 year old mum would be more use to Everton than DCL.

We are toast after one game, wake me up at the end of April.

After one game we are 4th from bottom and the only way is down from there.

If you took that team to Pier Head and gave them a ball each I’m guessing most of them couldn’t hit the Liver Building.

Sack Dyche, sack Dyche now before it’s too late. 8 weeks of pre-season has achieved sweet FA.

And bring in who? Everton have tried every option over the past few years and have never stuck with it long enough for any difference to be made. One things Dyche does have a proven record of is keeping a team up against all the odds (Yeah I know the eventually did go down but it had to happen at some point) Have Everton not just signed some new Portuguese striker, was he not playing?

I think the current bottom 3 will help Everton this season. I was surprised at how little Burnley showed last night, so if they are miles ahead of the other 2 the league’s all over already.
