That Blackpool job would be too much of a stretch for him.....no chance he wouldn't mess it up and walk into the sea whilst waving his arms around....

Surely not - that would be ill-judged in the extreme.

All reports suggest he is actually a decent player. I think this has more to do with the fact that a player has been sold on a very high salary to be replaced by a player who is most likely on half that and cost less to buy. He can also play in a defensive role which means that Nat Phillips can finally leave and if he can give 2 - 3 seasons then he will have been an excellent purchase. Liverpool appear to be still looking for 2 more players (Midfielder and defender)

Did anyone else notice last night at the medal ceremony (Super Cup Final) how Jack Grealish took the time to chat to the little blind girl who was assisting Ceferin with the presentation formalities? I thought that was classy and apparently in keeping with Grealish's behaviour around disadvantaged children.

Grealish seems like a good lad all round to be honest

There is lots of examples of Jack doing work with children with additional needs. He is more than willing and very comfortable and this possibly stems from the fact that his sister has cerebral palsy. Google the video where he met the girl at the etihad. That didn’t end there. I think he invited them to a few games, paid all their expenses and they shared a box with his family. His sister and her became pals. I used to think the lad was a bit of a clown when he was at Villa but that has been quashed on too many occasions since he joined my club. Not just a very good player and unbeknown to some, a grafter who is really popular with everyone. He is actually a decent human being. As someone that works with kids I am always interested in seeing players interact (or not) with kids. Some are clearly uncomfortable, some are not interested, and others find it easy to connect. Jack is in the latter camp and always finds time for kids.

New respect for Mr G - though I do wish he’d get proper socks and shin pads.

He played well. A goal and an assist on debut is a great start. He’ll score loads of goals in that league.

    Premier League 2023-24

Yes soft penalty if I am being honest. Very fortunate. Diaz goal was wonderful and Mitoma’s Messiesque finish in the other game was sublime.

Not a red card for me. Wasn’t high or reckless and wasn’t studs up.

How the ref can see that as a red is baffling.

Spurs need to capitalise and get a 2nd here. Much better 2nd half performance as they are playing higher up the field.

    Woodwork is MOM currently!

Hardly. Spurs were shite in the first half but fair play, you’ve been much better second half and thoroughly deserve this two goal lead.

    Agreed.

Both showing great composure & some nice skills, but Man U have been pretty poor opponents in 2nd half.

Bring on Slab Head Maguire - he’s staying to fight for his place

As a united fan that was depressing. Fred wasn't great but he would have been better than that midfield. Mount looks like a poor lingard, rashford is not a striker and both our wingers want to cut back into traffic every time, so predictable.

How on earth do you buy a striker to replace a injured striker only for said new player to be injured

On that basis, we had better win the CL as it's the only way we will be in Europe

And this is before the greenwood shxt show begins.......

Absolutely zero chance that is true. Else Foden would be an England starter surely ahead of Saka.

    Saka is England's best player.

Saka is a good player. Foden is a good player.

Of course your statement is totally objective and nothing to do with formations, strategy etc... or maybe just tribalism.

It was tight as expected but felt we could have been braver with the ball when the opportunities came.

City controlled it well enough without exerting themselves. The fact we kept your XG so low is something to take from the game.

Bruno and Miggy are poor at this level i.e. against the best, which is interesting to observe. But we were better with Wilson and Barnes who are more direct.

Game against LFC will be a fascinating contest.

    Like I said
    Biggest rivals .
    Bruno is better than Odegaard
Tonali is better than whichever bottle merchant is Arses other midfielder .
Gordon is better than Saka and Pope is better than if Ramshackle and Rays both played together .

Of course. Also Burn is better than Saliba, Isak is better than Martinelli and Joelinton is better than Rice.

Additionally, Lucy Letby would make a fantastic babysitter.

Anyway enjoy your trophies before they are taken away from you xxx
