Fair play to you and I know what you mean. I found it very subtle actually, really enjoyed it. One thing I enjoy about Verdant is how they have developed their ranges of Pale > IPA > DIPA in “family groups”. E.g. the NN Watt Moon series, Marylou > Neal Gets Things Done, I Played Trumpet > Fruit Car Sight Exhibition etc
My local has just installed a Beavertown tap, Neck Oil IPA, Bones lager, and (previously not tried), Gamma Ray pale ale.
I am considering taking up residence.
Summer’s back!
Drinkable but only just.
Genuinely think this is one of the best NE IPA’s you can buy in the UK right now.
And this, from a previously unknown (to me) little Long Island brewery, was rather good indeed.
North Brewing Co/MKI Miyuki Zoku colab event , had a couple of the MKI Yuzu Pale and Mrs T had couple of halves of the Stillwater Rose Gold sour, also a couple of MKI t-shirts for youngest.

This is the best of my recent new beer purchases.
In Palinuro, beer with salt crystals but rather nice.

Quick visit to Edinburgh and a delicious couple of appropriate pints by way of a wee celebration of Para Handy!

Wow, Love Fyne Ales, went to their beer festival a few years back, lovely beers, lovely people, lovely location. Cheers, John B4
Friend and I run a nanobrewery as a loss-making sideline, in Bromley.
We make very small amounts of beer, but we think to a high standard.
Happy to say our chilli chocolate stout was awarded Beer of the Festival, at the Bromley CAMRA beer festival last month. We were up against about 100 other beers, including the likes of Cloudwater and Verdant.
Chuffed!
Beer was called "Where's the bloody vindaloo, hippy?". All of our beer names reference The Young Ones!
Dark Flagon rum porter, by Wily Fox brewery, just the job.
Starting the evening in Cambridge with a Cali Pale

Not much of a lager boy, but these where hanging around the house and I can actually detect some taste beyond the usual suspects lager sh1te.
It absolutely destroyed Stella in the taste test. The Stella made the Birra Moretti taste like craft beer in comparison. The Stella is truly awful stuff. I shouldn’t have nicked it from my older kids as it wasn’t worth it.
..& a Brew Dog Black Heart
… …now we’ve eaten.

Started with a Vault City Apricot Session Sour.
I will NOT give up on summer yet!
And then into something a bit more punchy. This is proper good.
Nipped up to Granville’s , Titanic First Class - Golden Bitter, really good old style. Now having Wilde Child Breakfast of Champions!

Wife bought all sorts of beer after a very rough week.
Starting with this
Had this when back home after Granville’s, reminds me of Juice Forsyth from Brew York

I tried to drink my way around Southern Africa earlier in the month
Alas all lager but some better than others.
I prefer the lager to the ‘draft’
Quite possibly the worst beer I have ever drank.
Very nice from Mozambique
I do like a cold ‘Shumba’
This was hit and miss this time - one tasted of oil! It was not on the can it was in the beer! So swerved this for a bit.
Out for a few last night , Granville’s first, Vocation + Friends Pale Ale and a Northern Monk Eternal.
Also got 1/2 of Vocation Death by Margarita , very limey and sour!
Then down to The Tavern and a Horsforth Trinity.
Called in The Little Monk and had a Oktoberfest bottle of lager but forgot picture.
Then into Kings and finished with this.

I'm in Cyprus cooling down with a refreshing bottle of Keo. It's a typical Mediterranean lager, but very refreshing.
Happened to chance on this in Aldi, have to say if Coffee stout is your thing this is lovely, reminds me of Colchester Brazilian and at £1.50 ish a bottle a bargain too. Cheers, John B4

Two lovely pale ales this evening.
This from Lakes Brew Co…
Very smooth, fruity and juicy. I could happily sesh a few of those.
And these from Padstow’s collaboration with Heist…
Might be a bit strong for a school night …

St Peter’s Plum Porter.
Enjoying a week’s break at Winterton on Sea so it would be rude not to try a local brew.
Oops … champions league just appeared on pub TV

Woodfordes Nelson’s Bitter, Fisherman’s Return, Winterton on Sea
Nice light, hoppy IPA tonight
