If you'll pardon the pun, the pointer is the point of it to me - having had one from the previous run, it would be a shame to lose that defining feature.
Moveable bezel pointer with 30 metres water resistance
Non-moveable bezel pointer with 100 metres water resistance
I've decided to make the PRS-9 Czech Airforce again with a Seillita 216 movement. To me, one of the main features of this watch is the moveable bezel pointer but the drawback to this is that I can only achieve 30 metres of water resistance with a movable pointer. This isn't particularly a concern for me because it's not a sports watch and 30 metres is sufficient for daily wear with occasional contact with water (not swimming) but I wondered what are your thoughts?

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

30m WR is more than adequate for everyday wear, I wear vintage Omegas that I`ve restored and tested to 3 bar, they don't leak at 3 bar and that's good enough for me. People get far too hung up on WR, they get hung up on the numbers rather than think sensibly.
30m is fine.
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
IWC happily sell pilot watches for 5k plus with 6 Bar water resistance.
I think there's a compelling case that if you're immersing a watch designed for the cockpit in water, then you're doing something wrong.

There are plenty of watches you can throw in a lake. This is both authentic and uncommon, why not?
I would suppose that most potential purchasers will already have a watch they can go swimming in. Although I admit I wouldn't buy one whichever way it goes, I think it's more desirable with a moveable pointer.

Stick to the 30m, keep the pointer.

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
The pointer gives it "a touch of red" that means a lot.
Every watch a story.
I would definitely buy it and 30m water resistance is absolutely fine

Why mess with perfection? A bezel pointer and 30M water resistance
30m you did a great job with the first version.
Eddie looking at the poll Idont think many on here are sitting on the fence! Movable for me.
The pointer is the defining factor of the watch methinks.

I own watches with 2Km WR - I take them off to get in the shower. Almost all of us do this.
You don't need to play the Top Trumps numbers game, that's not your USP, so functional pointer/30m WR is the way to go.
As the old saying goes. 'If it ain't broke............'. The rotatable pointer is a classic feature of this design. Still loving mine.

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
30m wouldn't stop me buying one.
Without the bezel turning it's just another watch that probably wouldn't deserve a homage.
The bezel makes it special
Moveable bezel is a must. It’s big enough that I’d remember to take it off before getting in the bath. Unlike that bellend on YouTube who jumped in a swimming pool wearing his Lange Saxonia.
Speaking of YouTube, this 2014 review is worth watching:

Eddie, will the new version have the acrylic crystal?
Two points:
- the pointer is a defining characteristic, so a must have / keep
- it's a pilot's watch, so who (should) care about water resistance? 3 bar / 30 meter is adequate
Agree with everyone else. Keep the pointer.

Question to Eddie: would the new version be the same dimensions?

I guess you've got your answer Eddie ;)
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Keep the pointer, no doubt. One of the things I love in mine.
Forgot about this one. Looks great. Eagerly anticipating!
