Issues entering Russia with UK nationality?

An old boss of mine has travelled twice in the last six months. All in the name of love.
I think he is crazy but he has managed to get in and out of Moscow without a hitch (excuse the pun).

Lets hope its not a honey trap.

Glad we went in 2018 to St Petersburg awe inspiring place, the two days we spent there were fantastic. Just no way would I contemplate going now, what ever passport I held. I bet every foreign national is a suspect.

With Thailand not being an 'unfriendly' country can't see the Thai (only) nationals having any problem at all.
