Delighted for you. Hope you get used to it quickly
As many of you will know I'm an above knee amputee, have been for 24 years. I've looked at MPK's (Micro processing Knees) for years, but they have always been thousands of pounds and not available on the NHS. About 8 years ago the NHS secured funding for putting amputees on MPK's I went on a waiting list. Back in November I was told I was getting near the top of the list. Wednesday week 14th I get my first go on the Freedom Quattro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0i4vv9gTEx8 so excited. At 65 I'm hoping it will improve my life. The machine thinks much faster than the human brain and learns from your movements. I'll have a trial leg for the first month and get my own device once the loan leg has recorded much of the data. The machine has a life span of five years. I'll put some updates to the post as I learn to use this incredible device. It has apps for dozens of different activities, luckily it has one for golf!

That looks incredible, good luck. Shame you have had to wait so long for it ...
That looks amazing; I hope you get on well with it.
Wow that looks incredible! Best of luck with the 'loaner' and the new leg
Amazing piece of kit, wow. Fingers crossed it gets you doing everything you want. Not too late to take up triathlons!
Wi keep watching for the updates as to how you’re getting on with it.
Very impressive!
I look forward to hearing more about it as you get used to it WH.
So clever my foot fell off.
Thrilled for you man, also quite curious. This is the human/AI interaction science fiction has portrayed for a while but i never thought it would be in common usage in my lifetime.
Sounds awesome.
I'm imagining when you activate the golf app it just kicks the ball from the tee straight onto the green for you!
Wow, that should certainly improve your life and give you greater mobility and freedom.
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
It's amazing how sophisticated the prostheses have become. Wishing you well with your new limb and looking forward to hearing about how you get on. ATB Jon
