My son went from pro to pro 2. He says the sound is about the same, but the noise cancelling is a lot better and he notices the difference.

He compared them to my Sony XM4 and said they were better for noise cancelling only. My XM4s are good, so I suppose that is a good sign for the AirPods.

Better sound to my ears, longer battery life and better active noise cancellation.

Sound is marginally better in my opinion, but as above the noise cancelling and transparency mode are much improved.

The most useful addition is on the case with the case actually able to bleed loudly now to locate it.

I find them slightly better sound wise, the bigger difference comes on the noise cancelling. I found it way better when I first started using them.

Writing this on a flight with my pro2’s first outing having lost a pro 1 airbud couple weeks ago on a train. Sound quality seems broadly similar but there is a very very significant improvement in noise cancellation. Almost non existent background noise on the plane. I have xm3 and xm4 buds and I think these might be better than those!
