Run an armoured cable from the house and have electric underfloor ?

I am I mad of thinking of doing this? Or is it too much hassle with a composite garden room? The cabin builder says it’s possible but will have to be a side flue and not straight up and through the rubber roof.
I kind of like the idea of small burning fire in the colder months and I have a source of wood. But I’m wondering is it worth the expense of install and any potential damage/ risk to the garden room.
Has anyone gone this route of just stuck with an electric oil heater?

We toyed with one for our solid roof conservatory but on viewing a few, didn’t like the look of the flue when in the garden so gave up on the idea.
Electric floor heating is very expensive in use. It takes a long time to heat the room to a certain temperature. Especially in a room that's not used for living all the time. The main problem with the wood burning stove it to get the flue through the wall, roof etc AND making sure it's fireproof. I can find the picture anymore (I think it's on Pinterest) of a flue inside a sort of metal pillar so that looks as a part of the garden room, all in one.
Heated throw and electric gilet, toasty as a bug in a rug

With correct installation,No issue. Dont go crackers, less is more.
No reason it can't be done, far nicer than some of the other suggestions. Some info here https://www.logcabins.co.uk/blog/can...tove-log-cabin
Small woodburner with a side exit through the wall - seems sensible and cost-effective.
Anything electric and especially underfloor - is bonkers.
Fit a CO alarm as well, and a permanent vent of some sort.
Before you know it - you'll be having winter drinking sessions in there, with your big TV on Youtube vids, a fridge, and tree lights around the outside.
Other considerations also come into play like flue length, trees or hedges around the room, clean air (non turbulent wind) to ensure that it draws and does not fill the room with smoke.
Very common on canal boats, so shouldn't see a problem with a garden shed I would have thought.
Woodburner + man-cave/shed, perfect.

The garden room builder insists on side exit. I dont think they want any warrantee issues with the rubber roof.
Have a fireplace dude to contact tomorrow to see what one would cost. A quick google suggested they were not as cheap as I thought and I am already getting too much mission creep on the project.
Thanks all for the info.
Small and boring update- looks like it can be sorted quite easily.
So woodburner it is ( solid fuel stove for the more eloquent)
Looking forward to firing it up next winter.
Thanks all for the info.
I put a mills heater with a power line WiFi extender in ours.
Works great can turn it on while in the house and heats the room quite quick while keeping the damp off.

Side exit flue, fire guy said it will be fine. He also said the is a hatch so you can sweep it yourself- winner.
Those mill heaters look decent, thanks for the heads up.
