I know someone who has. I’ll ask him for his feedback
Morning All,
Have any of you utilised a service to improve/re-write/update a curriculum vitae?
I know it’s a task that can be done by myself, but I think it would be good to hear about other people’s experience of using such services.
Many thanks

I retired 10 years ago and the last cv I had at that time was based on a format I had used for 30 years. I have just copied it into gemini (google's AI tool) and asked it to rewrite it in a style that met current empl0yer expectations. It reduced it to around 2 sides (from 6) and although inevitably lighter on detail, it clearly relates to me and is in a completely different (more modern) style. It took about 2 seconds!
It took a little longer than I’d expected before I (we) got an answer. Anyway, here we go:

I did. The value for me was not in the editing of text, but the formatting of the document.
Topresume.com has several 'packages'. The main feature is 'key words'. Apparently, a lot of CVs are checked by some sort of AI 'machine' for HR professionals. Your application is put aside when you don't / cannot highlight certain key words.
I'm glad I am out of the whole 'process', but in truth - was never in it.
I read current CVs and they appear all to have been written in a complete bollocks style, that to be honest - I would struggle to separate the wheat from the chaff.
But - I think HR depts now, to avoid any comeback- DO rely on certain 'buzzwords/phrases' to demonstrate diligance and comes as no surprise that AI is now prevelant.
"team-orientated" or "oriented"
"Customer focused"
"Goal driven"
I couldn't take a candidate seriously - with some of these CVs.
